My MC19 fucked out on me so me and a mate figured out that the fuel pump is not getting any power. Does anyone know what could be the cause of this? Or is the fuel pump fucked?

Bad earth connection?
Easiest way to test it is to 'hotwire' it across a 9v battery, or you can check for continuity with a multimeter.

Agreed.
You need to check to see whether there is no power to the fuel pump or maybe the fuel pump is knackered.
Have you checked the fuses?
After checking the Earth, check the live cable at the fuel pump and and then work your way back until you do have power.
It could just be a simple wiring mod that is needed, which will be a lot less expensive than a new Fuel pump.
Fingers crossed.

Are you sure the MC19 needs a fuel pump? Honda fitted them to many bikes that actually run as well (or sometimes better) without them. If the fuel pump does prove to be faulty, and there's sufficient fall for gravity feed to work, you should be able to remove it (may need to replace some hoses though).

As far as I'm aware, the MC22 does not come out standard with a fuel pump, whereas the MC19 does. I've heard that removing the fuel pump on the MC19 makes them starve of fuel when the fuel tank is less than 1/2 full. Is the computer connected to the fuel pump in some way, or does it operate independently?

check for spark...
unplug the out from the fuel pump... and see if it squirts out everywhere..
just dont let r6_kid test ride it :D

It's got good spark. We unplugged the outlet on the fuel pump and it's not pissing out with fuel.

Does the fuel pump have a relay? If so, where is it?

I have the fuel pump from my 4AGZE that should put out enough fuel.

I might even try my old GTI-R fuel pump then.

On my GSX1200 the fuel pump died, I just bypassed it. Apparently if I try to run it at sustained speeds of over 220kph it may not be able to draw enough fuel through and I may need to pay $700 for a new one, luckily I don't ride quickly enough for that to be a major problem. If you notice the difference when the pump is bypassed on your 250 I would be very suprised.

Seriously the the 4age fuel pump would not work.
The cbr fuel pump is just a lift pump with no real pressure.
The 4age fuel pump is high pressure for efi and has enough pressure to push the needles out of the way in your carbs and simply flood the engine.
I am curious to know whether it would move enough fuel to hydro lock the engine though so if you do try it please come back with the results

just done read up , and guys have replaced them with car fuel pumps and work %100 fine on ther CBR250R MC19's, goto repco aparently "Fuel Flo universal electric pump will work,
should cost you 130-160 bucks.
along with small suzuki and mazda ones will work too, try not use anything for 1600cc or above,

I've got a nice Garrett, it's mounted on the car though, although the turbo off a Honda City would be cool...

I took my bike to a mechanic and he said I need a new fuel pump. I took my fuel pump to Supercheap and Repco and they have never seen anything like it. I went to Japrace and 6 automotive dismantlers and none of them have anything like it. The only place that I could find that could get hold of a fuel pump for me is Honda, and they want over $300 for it. I'd rather stick to my push bike than pay over $300 for a fuel pump.

No places I've been to have a fuel pump that is similar to the one I have. They're all too big and the inlets and outlets are on different sides of the pumps that I could find.

okay go pay 300 bucks then... fitting a different pump is too hard for you,. good luck

a lot of guys use facet pumps for africa twins etc...perhaps they are the same. There must be a forum for those bikes, see what they use.I am sure you aren the only one to have this issue and is releuctant to part with that sorta dosh.

Ok, you want a self priming, lower pressure, fuel pump, that stops pumping when it sees too much pressure build up on the delivery side. An FZR400 had one IIRC, and if you can't find one of those, then go try a Kart storre.
Before you do that, try giving the existing pump 12 volts yourself, make sure it's actually non functional, don't trust somebody elses opinion. It's more likely that the bike has an electrical fault that will be fairly simple to fix.

Karts normally run pulse pumps, we ran a FZR pump ( not sure if it was a 400) for the reasons you've listed

Ghey... that was my best guess for who in Christchurch would have a low volume pump (only needs to support 45hp yeah?) with those properties :(
I ran a car on an FZR400 pump once

I ran a 70+hp TZ250 off one of the pulse pumps and even then I needed a fuel regulator to drop the pressure

Problem solved. I bought a fuel pump for an old Mini and it works fine.
