greetings all
Thanks to everyone that helped me yesterday when my rg150 siezed on the backroads near gladstone :2thumbsup . story goes as follows...
9ish am i left levin and headed south looking for someone to ride with and and to go for a hoon over the takas :Punk: Went over paekock hill bla bla bla those roads. Pulled in to caltex rimitaka and found a group of riders about to go over the hill so i tagged along :ride:
From there we headed over the takas and to maritnborough for a coffee.
Then the back roads to masterton :devil2: i was on the smallest bike in the group- the next smallest bike was a zx6r i think! so i had a hard time keepin up. Anyways on a strait about 3k from gladstone, i was goin flat out tryin to keep up and then cough, fart, *sound of wheel locking up* the rg had had enough :argh:
Thanks to Ronnie and her cbr for taking me to the next turn off where i got on the back of ray's (i think) bmw. He took me to masterton- those new beemers go like snot! Thanks to the honda shop for letting me use their phone to call my parents :o . thanks to my dad for driving two hours to pick me up and another half hour to find my bike :2thumbsup and thanks to the other riders for waiting for me and making it an awsome ride!
btw if anyone cares i used to post as rg_150 a few months ago. i made another user name because my rg is dead for now and hopefully soon i'll have my rgv250 :devil2:

Glad to know you got home OK. We were the red ST1300 and blue Marauder that stopped when you were engrossed in conversation on Ronnie's cellphone. Could have been worse. Could have been raining...

Thats not just a KB thing. (helping out bikers in need) Its a whole biking thing.
If a stranger on a bike needs help, most riders will stop and ask if they are ok.
This motorcycling family is great!

T'is the two-wheeled rule. You *never* pass by a fellow biker in trouble. I've often had people stop and ask if I needed help, when I've just stopped to read my map, or admire the view. And I've done the same.
If you don't stop when a biker's got problems, the biker gods will note it, and shortly thereafter, both your wheels will fall off in the middle of a fast corner, your gearbox will seize, your chain and all you cables will snap, and your piston and crankshaft will exchange places.
You have been warned.

Ah - was wondering if you were KB'ers. That was me who stopped by on the "Tiger" FireBlade to check if any help was needed, I think you had it all sorted by then and were just wandering back to get a lift on the CBR. Good luck with getting your bike sorted.

Really? Somebody had better tell some of our resident matchmakers that they may be in breach of the Sale of Goods Act...

So true. Most the times I've stopped their mate has already been en route with a jerry-can full of petrol, and it's all under control but it pays to stop just in case.
Could be me stopped next time, without a phone in the middle of nowhere - has been in the past and I've been helped out. What goes around, comes around; cast your bread upon the waters; bide the Threefold Law you should etc.
