3 outta 3 ain't bad.
Doesn't the Puke track look all shiney and flat. Will be great for the Classic Festival.
They'll have to do some work on the crash barriers though as they took some hard hits along the front straight.

Good racing indeed. Has it ever NOT rained at that round?
Shit, I couldn't believe the violence of Bairds crash- the entire boot just instantly disapeared!
Whats a good lap time there for a road bike?

Yeah murph is the man. Just hope he can go all the way this year and take out the championship.
Lowndes' crash was definately a biggie, looked very spectacular, specially that post with the loud speakers on it falling down.
Those toyota single seaters had the fastest lap times. Were consistently in the 55's when the supercars had a fastest lap of 56 flat i think.

Lowndes or Dumbrell and Baird? Don't recall Lowndes having any bingles in the last race (except for turn 2 with Ambrose), but the Baird/Dumbrell smash happened right in front of us (in the Murphy grandstand on the start/finish line) and it was huge! Big palls of smoke drifting out of the aftermath, huge cheers from the crown and they got out of their cars, lotsa oohs and aahs at the replays.
Ah, thats what racings all about. Big smashes in controlled enviroments with damn good safety gear. HANS device = another life saved I think.
BTW, anyone know if any studies have been done as to which is better, a head or or backwards on smash like Baird did into the fence?

Do you know why Murphs 'Da man'
He rides dirt bikes in his spare time.
KTM's, just like our latest MX1 hero Ben Townley who won MX1 GP yesterday.

From the looks of it I'd say they are safer hitting backwards in that class. The boot doesn't appear to have a space frame in it so it would act as a crumple zone to decelerate the car more gently. Still can't get over the damage- where the hell did the boot go?! I mean, there was NOTHING left

What a twit. Methinks Messrs Pero and Henshaw may be having some "discussions" about that one. And as for the "ah well, last race is over so I may as well pull a donut for the crowd...omigodisthatasandtrap?" incident, well the more said the better. Bloody idiot.

Yeah we couldnt see how he ended up in the sand on the last lap?? Was it a donut gone wrong? Think its a bit harsh calling him a twat, but it think he will be dreaming about that first lap for a very very long time. Bit of a rush of blood.

Ah, the old adage "the race isn't won at the first corner" springs to mind. All he had to do was stay ahead of Booth and he woulda been home 'n hosed. And he probably would have got past Anderson on the back straight or the hairpin anyway, as he was obviously a lot fasterer than him.

Murph's always had the KTM sticker on his helmet, and he rides them too - but I saw Ingal had a Husky sticker on his helmet....do you think he does a bit of sewing on the side?
