ACC protest t-shirts.
Orders now closed
The shirts are looking like they will be delivered in time for the Wellington Protest ride on the 17th.
But since the name printing is done by a different printers, we will not have time to do this if you want your shirt in time for the protest ride, so can you <A href="mailto:spankme@kiwibiker.co.nz?subject='Your%20ACC %20Protest%20t-shirt%20order'">email me</a> with one of the following two options:
1. Send me the shirt without the name and I will mail it back after the ride to have my name added.
2. Don't need it for the ride. Send my whole order once name printing is complete.
Can you also include your member name that is to be printed on the shirt in your return email.
If you are going to return your shirt after the ride, please do so promptly and make sure it is clean.
For those that have missed out, we do have ACC protest shirts at our CafePress store (http://www.cafepress.com.au/acc_protest).

If you have made a high vis jacket like mine
http://www.pyrocam.com/filez/go/IMG_0002.JPG
You should order a normal size shirt to wear under your gear so that way your covered both on the bike and off.
Stay Sweet.

As soon as we have a viable printing number we will run a order.
I reckon go TWO sizes up from your actual, so if your a large get a XXL , I havent seen the shirts but I think this will give you plenty of room to get them over your leathers.

Its men's sizes though isnt it? Mens and womans sizing can be different. I'll figure it out. Might go to hallenstines and try some tshirts on over my jacket to see what fits lol.

I'm not sure about going two sizes up.
Just tried an XL T-shirt on over my jacket and it fitted fine. (I wear size L T-shirts.) So I've ordered my protest shirt as an XL.
If you're going to put it over your leathers you don't want it too flappy, I reckon.
Also, only going one size up makes it viable to wear as a T-shirt, not just over leathers.

Typical KB attitude when one member gathers the balls to attack another members post, all of a sudden we're all attack dogs.
Dudes there is already anarchy between us bikers whether you see it or not. Can you not hear the crusier riders screaming that cc's don't have much to do with speed, it is a combination of horsepower and torque that does the "damage". Do you want to see legislation wordings changed to exclude crusiers or slower bikes from higher ACC levies and the sports bikes targeted? (I can see some cruiser riders agreeing already). If that be the case then our cause has failed before it has begun.
I just want a fair reflection of the demographic. If we as bikers classify a bike as a seat on two wheels how do you expect the Government who are oblivious to the fact that scooters/mopeds are not motor bikes see any different? I am just wanting to see selection and that is not unfair on my part.
Look ahead a few steps consider the options, seek relevant past literature and try and put yourselves in the shoes of the policy makers and you might see what I am trying to subtly hint at instead of simply critizing me.

nutin wrong with the bike in the picture, its a GN250, the one we all started on, I liked the look of the R6 (i think) that was originally on there, but its not as good a representation of all bikers. Historically most bikes looked like the one currently used, also its a very similar to the one the gubbermint uses on road signs. As for scooters/mopeds, the key difference there is they are step through, the one in the pic is not.

The image files in this thread are perfect for A4. I already have a black background and white background poster at my work as well as the time to fight poster from the other site. This is a simple, cheap and effective way to raise awareness that anyone with a pc and printer can do at home and then put posters in supermarkets, malls etc . Keep up the good work everyone and lets show them that kiwi bikers dont bend over for anyone

I don't try to be like anyone, but when kids shit talk on KB and don't have the spine to back up their comments it makes me chuckle... as you were child. Unless you take up my offer to take this up in person you can get fucked - ref my signature

yep, your such a big man raj, real cool too.
but lets look at this from an out side point of view.
Carvers big claim to fame was on the cheesecutter ride how he gave it a bad name. While your constant bitching about how a protest image doesn't fit with your own personal image is no where near as bad as what carver did, its on the same lines.
The shirt has NO reference to what type of bike you ride/like/don't like/care about. Its a symbol for a motorbike that the general public will recognize, no more, no less.
Your inane comments and bitching, while mostly ignored by everyone, have taken offense with me and I was letting you know. This is about ACC protest, not fashion.
Now I go to the chiller on a fortnightly basis, and as it happens I was there last week, and will be there again next Friday. If you care to meet me there and discuss this matter in depth feel free.
I will not fight you / try to beat you up/ attack you in any way. Although having an intelligent conversation with you might not be possible, I'll try to use easy to understand words (on account that English isn't your first language and all that hairspray fumes you use have gone straight to your brain).
And here's a tip you half wit moron, don't like the image? get off your lazy arse and make a shirt that you think fits the required criteria.
kb is overflowing with morons.
That is all I will say publicly on the matter. I will not respond to you about this subject in this thread anymore.

Hahaha got a nerve there? I'll see you at the chiller; and your reference to English being my second language only goes so far as to show your true nature... Like I say got something to say? Say it to my face and stop being a wanker on KB. I will not discuss this matter with you because it's comprehension is beyond what I infer to be the depths of your intellect; besides you are not worth my time or money so learn the hard way you shall. I am also glad you do not wish to fight me :O So simply stated in the only language you understand - FUCK UP child.

The ACC is NZs largest invester in NZ business and has Billions of dollars invested in a diverse range of NZs largest companys including Fonterra,There investments, like every ones has had an enormous loss of value in the last few years and this is why they have a large defacite .They want to top it up in the short term with the increases but until they actually sell there is no loss ,It is only a Paper loss of assets. When the current financial issues comes good these assets will grow accordingly and the govt will be able to stand up at election time and boast about how they turned it all around
As motorcyclists we have a responsibility for our selves and looking around at our own behavior sometimes I think we deserve what we get .How often do I see a big bunch of us riding along so close to each other that if anything happens 3 or 4 bikes go down .A heap of bikes at a bar somewhere with bikers standing around drinking alcohol telling each other how good they are .Scooter kids whizzing along inches from parked cars with no gloves shorts and no jacket.
How about a refund on our ACC levys if we spent some on safety gear,a new visor.or even a track day.My own experience with Track days is that in a single day I learned more about my bike than a lifetime on the road. Sadly our minister of transport doe not agree and recently told a Road safety program in Taupo (car event run by Mark Pedon) that there is no way that this Govt will ever give out money for a road safety program on a race track.I hope he speaks Spanish as with his head buried in the sand that far he will end up there. It is interesting to note that Insurance companys are now encouraging closed circuit training and insuring vehicles while engaged in approved advanced driver /rider courses .If you can get support from insurance company's there MUST be advantages. Thanks for reading

I was wanting to wear one to Wellington and to the Ulysses rallies
there was no profit (presumably) so If i don't have one for the rallies, what's the point of buying one? (or in my case two) .. what a let down if I don't get it until LATE November.

He cant take a day off to come to the protest, but he ate mince for 2 weeks to buy this t-shirt from here
Might only be 40ish + postage bro, but to some that's the weeks milk and bread, not every KBer has a pile of disposable income and thats why were fighting so hard

Sorry to hikack the topic Quasi and Spank,
I for one THANK you very much for what you've done the delay is unfortunate, but what the hell it was great work
I know a place in Westfield Mall Lower Hutt (old cunts know it as Queensgate)
You can walk in with ya graphics and walk out wearing the shirt
Printings that paint style shit, it will crap out after 20 washes BUT it will do for those in a hurry to wave the flag today at Parliament!!!
I may try get one on my way today, as I am announcing the BIKEOI at Parliament on the Ulysses protest

I have been talking to the printers and pleading our case. They've said that even thou the job might only take a couple of days to print, they have so much other work ahead of ours it could take a week or two to get to it. But they are looking into how to get to ours sooner. I have told them that we need it by 6th Nov at the latest to have time to get them sent out. Fingers crossed.

Just gave the printers a call and we're looking good for the 6th. :D
Only issue is those that wanted their member name printed. This is done by a different printer, so if you want your shirt for the Wellington protest on the 17th, I can send your shirt without the name and you can send it back after to have it done. I'll email all those that wanted names in the next day or so to see what you want.

Since the name printing is done by a different printers, we will not have time to do this if you want your shirt in time for the protest ride, so can you email me back with one of the following two options:
1. Send me the shirt without the name and I will mail it back after the ride to have my name added.
2. Don't need it for the ride. Send my whole order once name printing is complete.
Only half of those that wanted name printing have emailed me with their chosen option. If I do not get an email from you, you will not get your shirt in time for the Nov 17th Wellington Protest.

Just been to the printers to see how things are going. They're well into it and the shirts are looking good, as they always do from ESP. They do quality work, which is why they're always busy.
They'll give me a ring tomorrow when they've finished so I can go down and pick'em up. Just hope six+ boxes of shirts fit into the Yaris.

Cuttin it fine. Fingers crossed. If you want moaning faced Scracha to assist sorting and posting then just gimmie a holler.
To be honest, I'm a bit dissappointed but not entirely surprised at the low levels of orders. Considering the number of visitors on this site in a week then 400 t-shirts is pretty rank*. They'll all whine, post threads and bitch to their mates down the pub about the ACC levies but just how many will wear t-shirts, put on bumper stickers, print off posters, email politicians, write letters, go on protest rides and geneally get their fingers out their arses?
*keep the 1st run a limited edition special, I reckon they'll be like an early Beatles LP in a few years.

In Fairness which bits of the below statement didnt you understand this was on the information for each shirt style listed. Orders ran until the 26th of October , its now the 6th od November and the Tshirts will arrive today, whats the problem again ?????
ACC PROTEST T-SHIRT
LOGO ON BACK
BLACK COLOUR ONLY AVAILABLE
Please consider that the size you buy be big enough to fit over top of your bike gear, so maybe buy two sizes to big. The T-Shirts are standard sizing. SIZE CHART HERE
www.kiwibiker.co.nz
New Zealands foremost Motorcycle forum www.kiwibiker.co.nz and its members have designed a T-Shirt to voice the concerns held by us all and at QMOTO we are doing our bit by offering the services of this website to process orders for this T-Shirt. Please be aware that this is a ordering process and the T-Shirts do need to be made in one run, we expect you to have your T-Shirt within two weeks, but please be patient there is alot of work going on to get these done fast so we can all protest as effectively as possible.
Get the point everyone ??
