Just wanted to float an idea without this getting lost in all the other posts
It would be a great idea if Sir Owen Woodhouse could get to the Parliment protest if and when this occurs. This guy would be a real show stopper.
I know this might be difficult to to his age but if he could be there to support us....................so if any on here doing the 'good work' it might just be worth a look to see if this is possible.

Is he really relevant? Sure - he designed the whole thing way back. And he may consider it his baby. But the reality is, he has nothing to do with what is done in running the show now.
I doubt that Karl Marx would have been supportive of Uncle Joe Stalin, but would Stalin have paid any attention?

Probably not, but with Marx in opposition to what Stalin was doing it would have taken away the validity Stalin's socialism.
If Sir Owen's presence was at Parliment, likewise it would take away the validity of what Smith and his supporters are trying to do. That is privatise ACC and given Sir Owen's statements to date he squarly lays the blame for todays mess on the National Party. Sadly I think that is what is behind your post...............denial of blame on the National party and to reduce the exposure of this as much as possible.
That is the core of your objection.

Good PR!
And he wanted all vehicles in the same account, so he'd be on our "side" . But, he is 92 (I think). So, I doubt he's still riding. And where does he live?

Stalin would have simply 'disappeared' him...

What a load of old bollocks. I'm not looking at this any way but how it affects me in the pocket, and what I can do to 'protect' myself. I'm well aware that some might see this as a National/Labour/Act/Green... plot. Not I.
And I merely stated a fact...when ownership/control of a possession or creation passes to someone else - the first person is out of it and no longer relevant.
However, I will concede that he could be useful for media reasons...

Right, I've now created a new version of Godwin's Law (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin's_law)
I've named it "Skyrider's Law" and it goes:
"In any internet discussion regarding ACCs proposed increases to levies charged to motorcycles, the probability of Skyrider mentioning John Key and/or The National Party approaches 1"

So where does he live?, Who has a side car and be willing to take him, then there are questions about his general health etc, we wouldn't want to do anything detrimental, and this could be weather dependant.

I have no idea. I just floated an idea and with the hope that someone might pick it up. It's a big ask.................????..............but nothing asked nothing gained.

It's precisely why I created it's own thread. The idea got lost.
