What are the pros and cons of this bike?

I am looking at getting it for my first bike. Seems to be quite nice.. I would like some pointers or someone with experience with these bikes to tell me some info..

however if i were you I would save a few $$$ and buy a GN250. Same bike, different styling

Nice bike, but low-slung and relatively long bike (e.g., harley-looking bike) is relatively a bit harder to control if you're learning.
Just my 2cents.

Depends on what kind of riding style you prefer - any Suzuki would be a good option - they go well, and you really only a 250 until you get onto your full licence, then someone else gets to choose which one they buy. Good luck and happy riding :)

I agree with Marmoot.
The VTR is v cool - naked/street fighter styling - and excellent to develop skills on.

Low slung cruisers can be difficult to corner. Check this...


Biggest problem is when braking as there is less weight distributed on the front.

With upright bikes (relatively sharp rake), braking would transfer the weight to the front wheel.
With lowslung bike, braking may push the front more than transferring the weight, resulting in uneasy feeling and tendency to lock the front wheel and tumble under very hard braking.

It's not the end of the world though. It just means you need to be more careful and it is not as easy to ride lowriders than it is to ride commuter-type bikes.

Does anybody know who owns this bike? Or do you own one of these yourself? I had a chat with someone that is 30odd years my elder and he said to stick with the GSX's as a first bike.

Never ridden one of these, but it looks similar to my VL250.

Piece of cake to ride, much more stable than a sports bike (longer wheelbase).
A bit harder to turn in tight circles....until you learn how to turn it, then it's all good.

Looks like a sweet first bike if you're thinking of a cruiser for the next bike after this.
