Why bother, you'd be suprised how fast you can go in the rain on slicks once you get your head around it

you would be surprised how bad the surface is to race on at Mt Wellington
it's dam hard to walk over when wet (much like an ice scating ring)

wets are the only way to go when its really raining

damp you may get away with it but not when it's running water not a chance

At one two hour quite some years ago It rained Cats & Dogs & Hamsters & Aardvarks & several other things in the flash flood way that only Auckland can. I remember huddling in the shed (having crashed out 3 times in 5 min & team mate had just wrecked the bike) to see someone crash in the puddle/lake that was the esses by the pits & we saw the bow-wave splash before we saw him go by.

Don't so much need Wets as a Deep sea anchor.

Now that is funny! :killingme

Any progress John? I've ordered slicks but won't get them till mid December. I don't want to go out again on the Kendas. I would also consider a set of used RS125 wets with tubes on my standard FXR150 wheels for next time out - 14th Nov. If you have contact details for used wets I'd be keen to pursue this option.

Hi Damien, no joy as yet still on the hunt. I have bought another set of wheels which I have to machine and replace bearings fzr 250. Same set up as my slicks so there will be no hassle with different spacers. John
