I have a favour to ask of one of you guys, There is a Honda XL500s for sale in your area, that I am interested in, could I get one of you who has reasonable bike knoledge to check it out for me, from what I can see from the photos it looks very straight and original, I understand the bike is around the Blenheim area.
What I need checked is the internal fuel tank condition, seals on the front forks, any sighn of weeping, if they are thats not a problem, condition of rear shocks, If you can give it a bit of a run that would be good to, listen for knocks and rattles that are above normal.
I would prefer some one who had some thing to do with them in back in the day, the XR 500 A was a similar bike.

Cool thanks guys, Ill probably get the bike any way, its a 100% complete and just needs a minor tidy up.

Anyone seen the Suzuki SMX for sale in Marlborough? $700 seems damn cheap... I can't get trademe at work, nor email off my phone to get in touch with the seller...

Picked up the red beastie tonight from Strait Shipping, Well Pleased, just have to get used to having a kick start again, Will post some pics soon.
