It's my 32nd wedding anniversary today.

1977 seems a very long time ago, yet as yesterday, somehow.

I surprised her at work in her lunchbreak with flowers, card and a little cute pressie.

She hasn't aged much at all, me on the other hand...

Thanks everyone for the green and the comments! I am kinda proud of the number and she's definitely a keeper!

As with all relationships we've had our moments, but now it's really a case of relaxing and just enjoying each other's company. ('Sides, she's still hot...)

yeah, but will it last?

32 years is a good run. I've done 18.5 and both of us are amazed that none of our friends that were in relationships when we started are still with that same partner. Must be doing something right.

Dunno, we're still working on that... Time will tell.... ;)

Anyway, we're getting too old and tired to start over. You know how long it takes to train a wife...

Goodonyer for 18.5! That's a long time these days as well! :first:

hope you both had a very happy day Ed!! :niceone:

Thanks, mate! Nothing too special, but we did go and look at a house and we both felt the same way about it. I asked her first so she wasn't influenced by my thoughts and she was thinking exactly as I was. So we're putting in an offer on it. We've been thinking about downsizing as the kids are moving out and we don't really need the flat, (it's too easy for them to come back...).

We clocked 20 years in June. Sounds a long time but it's like at tax time when you see your summary of earnings.
You can't help but think "Wow, where did THAT go!!"

Yeah, I always compliment her, the other morning when we woke up I lifted the sheets and said, "That definitely doesn't look like the body of a 50-year old..." (Well I thought I was being nice...)

Yup! We were supposed to come down last weekend but Jill was sick and I'd hurt my back, (no the two were not connected...), so we're hoping to get down in a couple of weeks. We still haven't seen their new house yet!

Congrats on 21 years! :2thumbsup

Next weekend we're off to Waiheke for a ... I mean, the weekend. She's never been there and is looking forward to it. Got a nice unit at a good rate, tucked away near a beach and among some bush, private and quiet.

Cool! Sounds a nice one! Actually it was a time for reflection really, on how far we'd come in life together and what we had. Three great kids, all grown up and two married, one with our grandson, now 3,1/2. We really are blessed to have what we have after many tears and many years.

We got married far too young, but I am glad we did and the tough times have been character building as they say. Now we are comfortable with each other and with ourselves and happy together.

Haven't got the Corvette, though Jill loves them and I think they are cool as well, but we've got the MX5 and the bike.
