I know a guy who has an F650GS.
Apparently, you can turn the ABS off and on on this model.
How you do it? That is the question..............

garry Hs site says
How do I de-activate the ABS.?
by Art #884, Pelle, Andy#982
Simply:
*
Turn Key on (Running or not)
*
Wait for lights to go out
*
Hold ABS button, center of bars, until red ABS light starts blinking.
*
Release = deactivated
*
Red light blinks until it is reactivated.
*
To reactivate, turn bike off then back on, reactivation takes place automatically.
*
Note that it can't be deactivated while moving. I have no sensible explanation to why but I tried it while moving the other day. I just had to know.
*
If you are having a hard time turning off your ABS, just rock the bike backwards or forwards a few inches (it wouldn't even take that much) and try the regular procedure again. (Seacuke #1214).

I cant believe a bike has ABS. Must be a heavy bike. Whats next a cappucino machine?

The GS series are all great bikes. They go all sorts of places; mine even goes places without me!
Wears a few scratches as a result too!
Reasonably heavy for their style, but not too bad.

like people in honda shops constantly telling me I am wrong, DICKS, an NC30 is a vfr NOT a CBR, and a 10 is hotter than a 9 in NGK world RETARDS, and my brakes have 8 pistons all up!! Where do they get some of these people WT? I am sure even you wouldn't try and tell me my NC30 was something it would never be!

Same place they got me mate. I'll try and tell you that a "9" is hotter than a "10" too sorry mate. That's how NGKs are.
I'd never tell ANY Honda rider their bike was something it wasn't though

this might be a real dumbass question, but why would you want to disable the ABS? Unless it's out of sync, damage or something like that?

Tried riding on gravel with it? The fucken back brake lever is constantly kicking you in the foot. It sucks, plain and simple.

The F650GS is a nice road bike, but it sure ain't an adventure bike.
Mine was 9/10 on the seal, 6/10 on gravel and plain awful in any off road situation. Maybe if they got the FI sorted, put some decent brakes on it and took 20 kilos off it...the irony is that the GS1150 is a far better off road mount.
