You mean to let the fog lift.
Went down there last sat with FF at about 0930 and it was foggy as.
On the way back it was gone. No, he is being thoughtful of us poor Northerns that need 3hours to get there:cool: 11am :2thumbsup sweet, I'll only need to get up @ 7am and get my arse down the road by 8am. Much better than 5:30am last Sat:cold: Will have to see if Ian (Tiller) or Kevin (nzkelt61) are going:mobile:
There's a Puke track day on Anzac Day as well. Planet Honda is running it. Think it is $100 per rider. Will have to see if it comes under HRCNZ, because if it does the bike will be covered:cool:
I wonder if I can get someone to feed the cat and dog:shifty:

Another good'un down SH22 today! Nine bikes showed up at AB Papakura around 11am and off we went. Nice meeting you for the first time Big Dave & JustSomeGuy. The general condition of 22 was good and dry on the way down and rather damp at times on the way back through which slowed us down quite alot...it seems few of us "love" riding in the rain!
All up it was an enjoyable, safe ride with some good leading up front by Mr D the wheelie king! One member had a 'moment' just before the bridge at Tuakau on the way back through but I'll let him tell the story if he so wishes.
Oh, and nice new demo Triumph Sprint you have there Big Dave! What I tried to tell you (through your earplugs) before you left us at the Glen Murray turnoff was that it looks sweet apart from the 'gawky' looking triple underseat exhaust!
Ps. Draco, I think you've got the bestest skills for any female motorcyclist I know! :niceone:

Saw you guys coming down as I was going back up. 11 am start was just too late for me as I had to be back in Akl fairly early, so I did it on my own. No fog this time, but some showers. Still a good ride.

Had fun.
Stupid min 10 character thingy. You want more, fine you get more.
Roll out of bed and trun up at AB, weather looking cloudy, but not like perspiring down. Now know that the cafe doesn't sell V. 22 was great on the ride down, few spits but nothing to get the road greasy. Had a hairy moment when going to overtake Lou(?) and clutch slipping, decided not to take the courner wide throught the gravel patch, but shoot off the side road for a quick U turn, lost my way you could say. Pit stop at Ngaruawahia BP, all food finished when the heavens desided to open apon us. What were we to do? What all KB are good at, talk bollicks about bikes till it cleared up. Packed up when it cleared, and in ten minutes you couldn't tell that it had been raining. Chased the rain all the way north, odd momment of excitment here and there with the wet road, but had my groove on, and felt like I was well in control and riding smoothly in the conditions. JustSomeGuy was the day's sacrifice to 22 (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=11261) but was able to ride away from it, ups to you. Shoot by Death and Draco's for a quick coffee. Grand tour of the shed, 2 coffees and 2 DVD's later heading for home. (Right, right, left, right. Right?)
Thanks to all that made it a great day.

Still a good ride.So that was you I waved at on 22 going north about 20kms from Ngaruawahia...thought all that chrome looked familiar!
After a brief 30 minute lunch stop at BP we headed back up 22 and about 15kms along hung a right into a nice winding road (didn't note the name?) which took us all the way through to Huntly, and from there we rode through some more country back roads to hook up to 22 again...looking forward to riding that same awesome route in future when the sun's shining! :sunny:

I've done that road to Huntly a few times - it's a great ride. I think it's the Glen Murray road. Then the other one would be from Rangiriri??
