Are they just top speed through paddocks, or do they put a bit more into it than that?

Pretty keen to get out of the woods, and ride some farmland for a change.

Bit of both some flat out and some off camber etc. first round last year had a small bush section in the clay and was cool

Well The Kawasaki Sandpit is attending with a few young fellas to take on the mighty Kimmys XC team. They don't know it yet but the boys from the forest are going to give it to the lads from the farm this Sunday.

Anyone else want to be in "The Team" then feel free to pit with us. You don't need a green bike (yet) as we take all colours.

Its all about experience and sharing resources.

Team to date is, Juniors 85cc
Aiden Kiff
Sam Mobberly
Logan Beuth

Pro under 25yrs.
Luke Uhrle
Gary Almond

Anyone else in? Birchy/Chop. Should be fun

I was there but pulled out on lap 3 afther I ditched my goggles, and got blinded by the dust and hit by a few good sized rocks smack in the face. the dust on the first hillclimb on lap 1 was blinding to say the least.

Well...yes, the tree huggers kinda got caned. Except for Aiden that is.
Gear failure and the dreaded bot claimed the young guys. In the seniors Luke and Gary came about 20th and 21st I think.
Still a good first outing as they were both on new bikes and they do need to experience different events to further their racing.
Not the sort of track to suit Chris B either. He was nicely relaxed as if on a training ride.

It puts some sort of perspective on BT's speed. First race back and he was awesomely fast. Beat all the top XC riders that NZ(well most of them) has on offer and he's an MX rider with absolutely no racing under his belt for the last year.
Just pure skill.

I was caught up in a pile up at the start... Snapped front guard off, twisted forks, bars and bar clamps, front brake gone. Hit my head hard enough to see flying green dots. Bikes not pretty at the mo. Finished race 2nd in my class. Dont know overall. Gutted, could have done better with a straight bike but shit happens

Thats a good result, the sandpit guys didn't do so well looking at the results.

If you look at the race entrants, it makes for interestin readin.
