We're receiving lots of complaints about how hard it is to find important information amongst the flood of threads. We're trying to keep it tidy, but it's becoming a little messy. Sometimes our attempts at tidying up cause further problems...

A couple of requests:

Firstly, can the organisers of the final bikoi run to parliament, please post up a new thread, entitled National Bikoi - Final Stage Information, with the where / when details contained in the first post for all to see. The thread starter will need to keep the first post updated as required - or ask a Mod to do it. (I believe that such a thread was started under the title "Wellington Bikoi", it got merged with the Wgtn regional thread - sorry about that).

Secondly, can people please use the search function before posting new threads. We've even got people posting multiple threads, complaining about the multiple threads...

Thanks for your help. :done:

Sounds like a good idea. I've been trying to find details of regional protests as I probably can't make it to the national bikoi. Seems impossible with so many threads

It's a hard one, all right.
People reading an existing thread do not go back to the first post to check for 'changes' etc. But if a new one is started, then there are 2 (or more).

Can I suggest that each region has it's own thread, with a locked first post that the mod can put the latest info in, and that can be substituted for the current sticky? I'm not sure that a National one is necessary, since the regional one will be co-ordinating the link-ups with other regions as they progress towards Welly.

No I agree with the AMods request

Your points are all valid MSTRS but one highly visible post to make the one announcement of final details is neccessary

I cant find anything in the wellington one anymore its gone to shit

Hey Stoney can I ask that you add the registration spreadsheet to the final organisation thread

there are a number of outside clubs who are emailing their members & it would be helpful to send a link to that thread & if the registration link is in there more will be able to add their names :)

There is a thread there already , a re4source thread , which should be kept for just pure info, not speculation

I thought this might be the case with a locked thread. I have now unlocked it, but I shall move any post that is not directly giving new information about the final ride.

Whats wrong with subscribing to a thread?
If you see something that may interest you, subscribe to the thread...easy enough aint it?
I know theres nine pages of threads to sift through (if you really must) but surely the threads that really concern an indivdual member could be counted on one hand, or maybe two.

Look on the bright side, when its all over there will be more multiple threads about how everything went.
