Nice pics:Punk: A neighbour was racing his Commando up there. He reckons that the classic racers are the friendliest bunch of people you could ever wish to meet.

Cool - thanks very much. Can't remember his number but his name is Paul Swanwick and his Commando is black and unfaired.

Nice sunny weekend, racing was good. Pity that when Warren Marsh highsided at the hairpin in the 500 TT and didn't get up or move the flag marshalls left him unattended (like they did not leave their post) for nigh on 4 minutes (no joke I was checking my watch). It was long enough that one of the specators near me approached the flaggies to suggest they go over (was a big, high, highside). The said specator got told they were not allowed to move or something...

The said specator got told they were not allowed to move or something...That's a load of crap - riders safety is paramount. Was there only one marshall at the post?

Nah - that is the gentleman that sells the photos on track.
I was dressed as you would expect.

2 I saw.
My view is that they shouldn't move until it is safe for them to do so, ie site and flag marshall safety is first on the list (so you don't add to the injury list), then rider safety. But being the first lap, there was a big gap until the leader was coming through again and at that point was under a red anyway, on the exit of the slowest corner.... ie a reasonable time frame to get someone there....then from memory some riders did another slow lap (probably as riders would not have all seen the red at the start line I presume) and IIRC, then someone finally got there which was the "safety vehicle" and ambo which came from the start line.

Cheers for the pics guys. The CB1100R about 4 shots from the end of Dave's ones didnt look so pretty after binning & cartwheeling through the dirt in the entry to turn two in the last race.

I loved the sound and smell also. Sat in pit lane dummy grid area for most of Sat. Loved the Paton and loved the screaming wail from that yammie 125 multi!
