And according to teletext speed may be a factor according to officer in charge, just what the ACC wants.

I saw a few cops on way to Hawera yesterday, and had a good cruise,a few bikes looked to be behaving, and coming home to Palmy this arvo saw 3 cops, and 2 were while having coffee at Bulls, few bikes again and waves etc,all in all a bloody good ride 2 up.

RIP to family. As per usual give a silent prayer of thanks for safe trip, way to easy to become statistics.

It was mentioned on the news tonight there was a Biker Vs. Bridge crash near Greymouth. Anyone have details?

yeah, a biker crashed into a bridge. I think kb rules dictate no details till family or friends tell us...or summat like that.

We were probably about 20min ahead on the same road, when we heard about this not to sure what happened, but I do remember the commentator at the greymouth races saying take it easy out there it stuck with us and we just cruised.

Reports in media (tv) saying "speed could have been a factor".

Weekend death stats: One motorcyclist, five occupants of cars. And how many injured from the car crashes?

not really... pretty hard to claim ACC healthcare when you're dead.

We rode out of Greymouth bout 11.30 today, the Police were at the bridge doing what they do.. was a very chilling & sobering moment riding past..

Life is so precious.. & we are so vulnerable
