I survived on $35-40 food a week during my most destitute months last year. Surprisingly, porridge does get old.

Still addicted and I notice that I haven't had a blockage for a while. I think they blend it longer these days.

Pie carts long gone, was before i ended up stranded here, the Diner at the North end was indeed once a great feed but not these days.Fat Sallys (the old Irish bar) is a great feed both lunch and dinner, best to go early before it fills up with overweight teenagers and there cellphones.

North end Dinner was on its second owners but still going when I left.
Im sure I remember the pie cart returning after a break. Maybe even after the traffic lights were installed.
Tell Colin Mossy says hello if his bike shops still open.

Passed through Oamers last weekend and saw all then old places we used to go to ... including Jumbos although I think it was called something else back then. Noticed that the Turret Takeaway is still called the Turret. (Mrs Oakie used to work there when she was about 17 or so). The Pie Cart! I was too scared to go there because all the tough guys went there ... although I did have one feed there one night. And yeah, Colin Clynes ... run by Andy Bolwell now and I'm pretty sure Colin did pass away quite a few years ago. Ahh, the memories. Wasn't a bad place for a young fella to go through his teenage years.

Just seen this thread and must show our younger son as he developed Tuimato sauce! He's the Senior Food Technologist at Delmaine Foods who actually make it. We get all sorts of cool experimental stuff to pass an opinion on :niceone:
