According to my man in the know, some bike clubs have negotiated a fare of $73 (off peak) for person+bike across Cook Straight. Anyone know who I can talk to about accessing this fare? Should I try to extend it to Kiwibiker "members", even though we are in no way a bike club?

Ulysses have this as a permanent deal with Inter Islander, and both ferry companies are making it available for all bikes during the protest ride to parliament.

Go to the ACC Levy Campaign Category under general Bike Ravings (where you've just posted) and there are many threads. One is about the ferry special and the code you need to quote.

I hope someone has sent a nice letter of thanks to the ferry companies. Times like this you find out who your friends are.
