Seeing how he has trouble with arithmetic, like multiplying $3700 times 100000 bikes, I thought we could give him something to build his skills.

I've got another copy for Nick Smith.

You're both barking up the wrong tree, sadly. This is the post-modern age (NZ has finally caught up to the Clinton era), where narrative is all, and truth counts for nought.

In other words never let the facts get in the way of a good story. These bastards are privatising ACC for ideological reasons and will spin up a crisis to get us all scurrying around fighting little side battles about who subsidises whom, who has the correct stats, and whether the rates are iniquitous or not, while they carry doing what they first intended to. They are olde-worlde feudal lords, not enlightened servant leaders.

And TVNZ (http://www.newstalkzb.co.nz/newsdetail1.asp?storyID=165285) is next.

Interesting front cover - you can extract all sorts of metaphors from it.

Throw in a calculator while you're at it... just make sure it's not one of those fancy scientific ones - it might be too confusing for them.

A nice pink one will do.

Get the big cheese of ACC one too - see if you can get onto Campbell Live to present it to them.

Side Show Bob wasn't it?

Bart: We want the truth!
Bob: You want the truth? You can't handle the truth. No truth-
handler, you. Bah! I deride your truth-handling abilities.
Judge: Will you get to the point?

I've been pushing that one for some time. Glad I'm not alone.

Yeah have to say I won't shed a tear for them based on their current level of performance either - however, 'tis the principle. Johnny and co were effectively elected on a platform that included no privatisation in this term (and let's not talk about the other "broken promises") - yet they're certainly moving a heap of gains to the private sector and sending the bill to us, the taxpayer.

I can't say this was unexpected. It's just that I really don't like liars.

Last night on the news they announced that the minister was telling ACC to put there planned changes to the way they deal with sexual abuse/assault claims on hold for 6 months so a review can be held. The cst here is 1.5 million a year
It shows when some pressure is bought to bear things can be changed personally I am not sure the smart ass stuff helps the arithmetic approach works for me
Just keep plugging away with MP's
