well, my bulb blew last night, I popped to the bike shop this afternoon to get some other stuff and completely forgot about the damned bulb! Are they just normal bulbs I could pick up in any garage or do I need to get something a bit more specialist?

Also, I assume the metal surround just unscrews and gives you access to change th bulb, is that about right or am I barking up the wrong tree completely?

look around the rim for a couple of screws (not the mounting bolts!), undo these then you should be able to pull up on the lower part and it'll pivot around the top then seperate off. Believe the bulb is held on to this part by a clip, unhook, remove, put new bulb in, hook on and remount the housing.

Cant remember the bulb off the top of my head, but fwiw i'd grab a +50 / +90 version of it

Adding to the previous post
Its probably got an H4 fitting
take it out and get the folks at supercheap or repco to sort you out there are improved versons with greater range called +50 etc if you are interested
Give Artic blue a miss, the range is poorer, unless you serialy want to impress any petrol head friends you may have
Cheers

MM Im sorry to say the 04-08 Ginnys have a normal TC bulb. worse still you have to buy it from suzuki.
I just replaced every bulb in a 05 ginny for a customer who discovered the very hard way that when you blow a fuse you should replace it NOT connect the two fuze ends together.

Damn it! I got one of the tiny bulbs from Repco last night as I thought that was the one which had blown (no dipped beam, just full) and it turns out that it's the main bulb. Ah well, I have to pop into welly cycles today anyway...

My understanding is that motorcycle bulbs are built heavier than car bulbs to withstand the added vibration that motorcycles produce. Someone may know for sure.
