SOLD SOLD SOLD!
Hi,
well as I have now upgraded to a bigger bike the trusty hornet has got to go.
This is the perfect first bike for those new to riding and maybe for those wishing to downsize.
An able commuter and a forgiving learner vehicle but can still keep up with the bigger bikes if asked to (up to a limit of course).
This is a 2006 hornet which are as rare as hens teeth (just check trade me and see that they all seem to be between 1996 and 1999 - If you want to go and spend $6k on a ten plus year old bike). These bikes also hold their value well and have bulletproof engines.
I bought the bike around February this year and it has been hassle free motoring ever since. But as this is kiwibiker you most probably know why the hornet is generally thought of as the best 250 available, 40bhp, wide handle bars, full sized tyres, comfortable riding position etc....
I've added a couple of extras in my time of owning it, these are:
New Conti Sport Attack front tyre ($330) done 1,500ks
New Conti Sport Attack rear tyre ($340) done 1,500ks
Top of the range givi adjustable wind protector ($370)
Oxford hot grips ($120)
Gorilla bike alarm installed - comes with one remote key fob (cost unknown)
Also comes with an removable oxford clock/ temperature sensor ($40)
Bike was also fully serviced at 10,000kms.
So, you can own a late model honda hornet in a very sought after paint scheme (black body/gold wheels - only seen a couple of these in nz) with a decent set of tyres (makes a huge difference to the handling above the original BT56s) plus all the other goodies then let me know.
Not in any rush to sell this beauty so it'll only be advertised on kiwibiker for now. If not sold after the new year then I'll put it on trade-me.
PM me if interested or ring on 021 226 8070. Test rides only if deposit put down (returnable at the end of test ride - if bike still in one piece).
Carjam report available.
Thanks for looking and apologies for the horizontal photos.
