It's all right here (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10605956).

The thing that strucks me is that editing the article and replacing names with Hussain, Hitler or bin Laden wouldn't make it any more sinister.

This is the kind of action that taken place before people arm themselves and do a hell of a lot of damage.

Check this out... from the article
"At a special service during the church's annual conference in Auckland at the weekend, about 700 male members of the church swore a "covenant oath" of loyalty and obedience to Mr Tamaki and were given a "covenant ring" to wear on their right hands"

In the document comes a section entitled "Protocols towards our spiritual father", which takes 1300 words to describe in jaw-dropping detail how the "spiritual sons" shall behave towards their "spiritual father".

If any "son" is honoured either by the church or secularly, he is to mention his "mentors and role models" - Mr and Mrs Tamaki - "because Bishop is one of God's best-known representatives in our country".
Under "Conduct Towards Bishop", the "sons" are told that "Bishop is the tangible expression of God", so they need to understand how to properly approach their man of God "to protect the anointing and not transgress this special relationship".

... and it goes on!!!!!

Read it .. this is serious shit.

Yeah, spent a good half hour at lunch reading this (am I stll allowed a luch break by the way, or do I now trade it in for safety goggle vouchers..??). Anyway, a brilliant follow up article is on the NZ Herald website about how the Destiny Church is becoming a cult.

Well, their self proclaimed Bishop is taking us all for cults by having us believe that he is a spokesperson for God... this sounds awfully like Waco, eh...dont leave any matches or lighters lying around Bish Tamaki.

Bottom line is, he is now a source of great entertainment. I see home made Tui billboards popping up all over the joint, Monty Python may remake Life of Brian in his honour...

Let's not wate valuable time taking this dickhead seriously, insted, find new and amusing ways to rip the piss out of him and his 700 supporters...

On the terraces of Englis football clubs you would hear the chant "Bishop Brian's Black and White Army"

Under "Supporting Bishop's Function & Ministry", the "sons" are encouraged to find out Mr Tamaki's speaking itinerary and travel to other churches and engagements to support him, because a team of men around their bishop "reflects his importance to them".

They must never tolerate anyone (regardless of who they are) speaking or talking critically of Mr Tamaki and his wife/family or the church. "You are not only to stop them in their tracks but warn them that they criticise you when they criticise Bishop."

This sounds like the start of a private army.. God warriors, great.

This is pretty scary stuff.

Scary in that now Brian has formed his own Tamaki-Youth/SS who are being told to effectively suppress YOUR free speech: "You are not only to stop them in their tracks but warn them that they criticise you when they criticise Bishop." And then what? If you continue they've been told to stop you...

Yeah, his whole "religion" is a joke and he's an arsehole cult leader but 700 ex-con, holy warriors running around thinking Brian's laws are above the country's could cause some big problems.

For example, in time, this forum thread will turn up in google results when you google 'Brian Tamaki' (which I'm sure the cult monitor), someone from the cult will read this thread one day. If they think this whole biker community is talking smack about them then they might try and "approach" the website owner, or crash one of the calender events (Saturday's BRONZ/Ulysses event is smack dab in the middle of Tamaki country) etc etc

I say we take off and nuke 'em from orbit... It's the only way to be sure

We get along with no problems however was a little concerned in the beginning when I found out about the destiny part after hiring him, seeming as I am openly & very obviously gay but hasn't been any issues. I sure hope he doesn't 'gift' a portion of his wages to them!! Would be better spent on the kids n stuff!

There is a very LARGE billboard on the south eastern highway just after carbine rd that says 'A SUPER city needs a SUPER church' (or something along those lines) with a huge picture of Mr 'I am king' *shakes head*... wish that would 'disappear'!! :eek5: Those judging eyes lol!

Ban religion? Hell no, how the fuck are we to identify all the idiots if we take that away? Currently we don't have to make a census to compile a list in order to determine the level of education within this country.

Ehrm, I think you have misunderstood the point of religion. It has always been a mechanism to empower the few by controlling and extorting the many. Tithing is at the very fundament of religious practice. Which, incidentally, is why religion if anything hinders spiritual development.

(not the Ginga from Happy Days, either)

My god your just like Pete, drunk.

If Tamiti had guys like all of us in his club he would rule the playground much better , if he wants to take the country over he needs to get Winston Peters on side to rally the family in droves. They must meet at the suit makers surely.

Absolutely! At least it will validate Darwin's Theory so no harm done:whistle:

So far it is a voluntary organisation, I don't like it, I don't join but don't ever let them get into parliament!

It was bad enough before when the Christians were supreme in parliament!

I don't want any other pressure group making rules and laws for me to have to adhere to!

There are enough stupid laws and rules now! :argh: Badly policed and badly managed legally and corrections are a joke!

Save me from the do gooders that are trying to save me from my self!

It's all right here (http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10605956).

The thing that strucks me is that editing the article and replacing names with Hussain, Hitler or bin Laden wouldn't make it any more sinister.
Loved the line on The Rock, this morning...
"If you crossed Miami Vice with Hitler, you would get brian tamaki"...

Bishop is past tense. He's King now
That means the position of "Fuhrer" will be his next (self)promotion...
His "followers" are dressed for that eventuality.

I reckon he's actually Satan, Prince of Darkness, on a soul drive. What better way for him to challenge God then by tempting the weak by proclaiming to be the holy father. In fact I reckon god himself is in on the joke as well. They're just fucking with us. Cunts.

And as we march for Bishop Tamaki we should
also voice our support! So, when I say
"Es ist Zeit für sauberen," you all
chant back "Wir müssen die Juden ausrotten."

ELISE
Well, what does that mean, dear?

JACK
Oh, I think it's Aramaic. You know,
like in the movie.

SHLOMO
Ooo, Aramaic. Cool.

TOWNSFOLK
Neato! That'll be awesome. Great!

JACK
What was our Aramaic line again?

Isn't he the one wanting to build his own private city up there somewhere (Auckland) or is that still on hold. I heard he was looking for land and volunteers to build it so all his followers could live there. This guy has started some scary stuff right here. I hope they don't ever get into Parliament.

Not only is he wanting to build his own city, he wants his 'congregation' to sell their homes to pay for it. This guy is too spooky for words.

I guess he will get his followers to "contribute" so he can pay for the rego on his harley.

That man is seriously, seriously deluded.

No, he's not. At least not yet. He's cynical, arrogant, brazen, devoid of conscience and smart enough to mount a hugely successful con but without the depth of intelligence to know what to do when his creation starts to take on a life of its own. It will end up devouring him because, surrounded by flatterers and toadies, he will end up starting to believe his own lies. Then he will lose his touch and some ambitious and dangerously more intelligent side-kick will take over. Like Scientology, Destiny can continue indefinitely against all reason and common-sense, because the gullibility of the ignorant and desperate is almost infinite.

On the button, that man.

Tamaki is dangerous for more than one reason and I have this niggling feeling he's the type to light a fuse and run like fuck just before the big bang. (If you get my drift.)

The Density church will continue to grow I reckon, just because this country has (sadly) so many losers with no self-drive, no vision of their own and no self motivation. What those people need is a leader, which can't be found at the Beehive.

Like Hitler, Tamaki is tapping into a desperate throng.

I believe he already has. He has just crowned himself a king ffs. He actually believes he is untouchable, he actually believes he is in the right. He thinks he leads a mighty and holy cause. But I do agree with you, this is only the start of his slippery slope.
