Hi all

The BIKEOI co-ordinators have accepted my offer to help with their financials (thats money) to support the protest ride.

The idea is that there are some people spending a bit of money and may need our help financially. The costs of a ream of paper, some photocopying or printing, raw materials for banners.... soon add up. There may be also "clean up" costs to consider after the ride on the 17th?

I have set up a bank account for people to donate funds and for those to claim their costs back. It will require 2 independant BIKEOI Co-ordinators to agree to payments made - not me.

If you feel you would like to help out then the account details are:

Cheers people

Yay for the Fowl! :Punk:

Thanks MadDuck, we really appreciate this.

The Scary Bikers Sewing Circle will be at the Ulysses rally in Manukau tomorrow, raising funds for the cause and accepting cash donations. All proceeds will go into the CrazyChook's account to help out those who are out of pocket as a result of their efforts in this campaign.

Sooper-Dooper! :done:

BUMPITY!

This is the account people will need to put money in if they want to pay for a BIKEOI Action Pack. I will be putting more info in another thread with details of the pack (fluoro vests, iron-on transfers, arm bands, flags, etc etc).

Hello MD,
As luck would have it I have just been laid off so I am quite availble at the moment but am not really in a position to help financially so if you need any help from a practical stand point I might just be what your looking for.

Has anyone suggested collecting money on the 17th? How hard would it be and would it be appropriate to have collection buckets at the exit of the stadium? People could then donate a couple of coins as they see fit, very conveniently. All money raised would be used to fund campaigns, possible even an ad. Any extra money can go to a pre-chosen charity or Bronz.

Thoughts?

Just looked at one of the rego's due on the bike $250 to ACC Licence Fee $24.50 ... 78% to ACC.

If I wasn't such a legal beagle I would donate that $250 to the cause, instead of ACC.

so it might just have to be a tenner when I get paid..!!!

As discussed in another thread, there was some damage done to the surface of the stadium walkway in Wellington at the end of the protest.

The Welly crew have worked out a professional fix, and the account above is now accepting donations to help fix the stadium surface, as well as general fund-raising for the cause.

If you ONLY want your deposit used to fix the stadium, please specify when you make the deposit. However we would prefer that any funds deposited into this account could be used for other protest actions after the stadium surface is repaired.

At the end of the protests, any remaining funds will be donated to the Wellington Free Ambulance and/or other emergency services.

Thank you all for your generosity.

Sorry, didn't realise people were collecting for the Free Ambo's. Not trolling, just uninformed. Good to see such a good effort for them though
