best way is just get rid of it and get a 2 stroke, then you wont need a hot start.

however this doesnt really fix your problem sorry

Happened to mine, I pulled the plunger/piston out and cleaned in there with degreaser and a cotton bud. Then used the tube you get with wd40 to spray loads of degreaser down the cable and kept working it for ages. Once it started to move I flushed the whole lot with wd40 until it was smooth and shitty coloured liquid stopped comming out.

Don't get a 2stroke they are designed for homosexuals, and Honda's not only fade to pink, but are designed for the taker in the relationship.

Shut up Sam.

Anyway grab a cable luber and they make it all easy. We used one to sort rupes sticky hot start out at riverhead. Rupe did some morris dancing for everyone while Barty and I fixed his bike.

Thanks guys, but i dont think its the actual cable it appears that the plunger/piston is seized in the carb housing
Cheers for that BOOOM, but we traded a perfectly good 2 stroke for the 450 ... 2 stroke was ...well way too 2 strokey, smelly, and made this ring ping noise when running and besides he really wanted a hotstart:eek5:

Yeah mine was stuck in the carb housing too, just spray it with shit loads of crc or degreaser and leave it to break the crap down a bit the twist it out. If it breaks it was damaged anyway.
