In your opinion...what is the best looking GP bike every built??

Call me queer...and I'm normally sooooooo not a Honda man...but I can never go past this as the ultimate looking GP weapon. Maybe it's because of what it did in the hands of the (in my opinion) master. But it looks like a fucking shark.

It's fucking gorgeous and so purposeful looking. Just wet myself again. I want one real bad.

 I was ambiguous on purpose but I did actually mean the R7, not a GP bike I know but still a mighty fine race bike, looks wise anyway.

Yep thats the one for me too, particularly with Lawson riding it - every corner a work of art.

Well this is on my desktop atm. Never said it had to be a 500.

But then I agree of the Crafer era 500 was horn.

But the ever popular Pepsi & the ubiquitous Lawson era Marl rank too.

Hmm only have those last two as dodgy bmps & programe don't want to convert.

True that - super polite. I met him once when he was a rock star (he was a rock star back then) in '99. He didn't know me from shite other than I was a just another nobody working in the bike racing scene - he was super polite and accommodating - a real contrast to to most of the riders at the time...especially the European ones. Especially Fogarty.

Hah...yeah from what I've heard...Fogarty is the racing worlds biggest tossbag. His book made him sound like one for sure. I've met quite a few tossers in my time though. Anthony Gobert takes the cake...and as good as Mat Mladin is...he sucks arse too.

Fogarty was a total arse. So was Doohan while I'm at it. Both of them were the biggest two arses when I was there.

I actually found Gobert to be ok....as long as you were in the mood to party and get wasted. He bought a lot "calm the fuck down and have some fun" attitude to the paddock....as he would say; "for fucksakes I'm being paid to race bikes don't tell me to be serious!" Each to their own I guess. If he didn't race either drunk or with a hangover he would've won or got close to a championship....but nobody could stop him getting wasted ALL THE TIME!

Never met Mladin.

Oh c'mon...this is a "best looking GP bike thread"

Fast - Check
Engineering marvel - Check
Aerodynamic - Check
Kiwi ingenuity - Check
Good looking - Monumental Fail

A P addict couldn't find that bike good looking from any angle.

Norton and Agusta both competed in GP racing that bike built in Chch didn't (doubt Indian ever did either)and if it had wouldn't have been fast enough

Agree, twin shocks and massive drum up front just look right.
Pretty sure it made racing more 'interesting' as well...
