Hi folks. Does anyone know of somewhere that rents bikes for off-road riding - and perhaps runs tours - in the lower North Island? Thanks a lot. Jon

Oh, just noticed this thread....

Im not aware of anyone that caters for dirt bike hire in Wellington, but ring around a few bike shops maybe and see? sometimes they have a couple of second hand bikes that have been sitting out the back for a while that have been reapired and then not paid for as the owners have bailed or suchlike. Try Maidstone Yamaha possibly ....

Nope, he just rents bikes on-line nowadays. I swapped a couple of e-mails with him yesterday so I can defiantely say he is still in business.

As far as I am aware he has some off road bikes for rent.

Try the website as suggested above.

Hi Bradz. Yup, I know that place, but sadly I think it's closed down. I drove past there the other day and the shop had been converted into something else. A pity, because it was the only place like it in town.

Oops - just read on with the threads and saw he is still hiring online. That's good to know.
