Don't stop for a piss.

Have done the Auckland half marthon today and missed Getting on the bridge by 1min It took 1.55 and you had to be at the bridge by 8.45 so had to go over on the bus .

Walk started at 6.45 but as we where at the back of the group we lost 7 min getting to the start line and then of course a 3k into the walk i needed a pee. So next year i will be at the front of the group 7 min made up i'll just piss my pants (not Really) and that will be 5 min made up and :woohoo: i've made up 12 min's

Did anyone else do the Auckland marathon.

Marathon I don't know that word at all.
Good on you for even attempting it. Did see it made it on the news but that's the limit of my knowledge :)

Nah, I am too fat and lazy to do the marathon. Or even half.
I did my own quarter marathon around the bays and back a few hours later though. And absolutely free of charge too.

Would've been about 5mins ahead of ya Pete, jogged some of the downhill bits to ensure I wouldn't have to catch the bus of shame

Finished in 3hrs 10 or so, not too bad for a fat unfit bugger, totally loved it

Oh leave that bus of shame alone. We would of been wright beside you had it not been the 7 min delay to get over the start line to begin with. We also done some running down hill and some on the flats.

Oh well it looks like i will have to go back next year.

It was bloody easy. In fact, my sides hurt the next day as I spent Most of the half marathon shouting "MOVE LEFT" at the slow pokes who needed to get out the way of the leading 1/2 marathom runner I was escorting on the mighty Beemer.

sorry you didn't make the bridge, we will have to have a yak some time.....
