there's bulk *WORKS END* signs out there, and fuck all *WORKS BEGIN* signs.

Lost count of the number of *WORKS END* signs I passed today, having seen not a skerrik of any *ROAD WORKS* let alone any warning of 'em.

New Zealands roading system is one giant work in progress. SO no need for a works start sign, just assume there is work always going on.

The ones you have seen are the odd bit where there are no roadworks occuring..WOOT.

Lets face it most road works in NZ are either started way too late or appear to be started for no apparent reason on a perfectly good piece of road.

It's a bit of a lottery as to when you'll find a set of road works.

What they need is a sign stating:

"Road Works - They Are Everywhere - Safer Communities Working Together"

When approaching road works I find it best to dress to the left - that way if it gets a bit dicey and you piss yourself at least you can shake a leg onto the road edge.

Mebe that's it, I'm so used to dealing with them I can't distinguish 'em from normal bits.

Nah. Some bubermint stores board clerk has some under-the-counter deal going with a dodgy signwriter...
