Hey folks,
I'm off to Waiouru tomorrow morning in the station wagon of joy, returning same day.
Going down empty and thought this may be an opportunity to get some bits or bobs down the line for folks or even back again should there be a need.
So, if anyone needs anything delivered down the line (or within reasonable vicinity) or brought back up, then let me know.

Done - the trip has been delayed a day, but I am going tomorrow (Wednesday) and all going well (If R6 can get hold of the guy) will be picking his fairings up.
...now to load the phone up with some travelling music!

Just remember to watch out for crazy bikers!
Now now, we all know the dangerous bikers only come out on the weekends, this is why I am going down mid week! :sweatdrop

Well, THAT was fun.
Travelled around 730km, visited Taumarunui and uplifted some VERY nice fairings for Mssr. R6_Kid, and finally liberated a mis-placed trailer from our fine boys and girls at the Waiouru military camp.
A beautiful day to be on the roads, however I'm bloody glad I was on 4 wheels - the road works were bloody atrocious!
Auckland-Taumarunui, I swear I spent almost as much time axle deep in bloody fist sized rocks as I did admiring our otherwise quite nifty scenery.
Taumarunui-Waiouru, it was easily as bad, with markedly worse signage and surly road workers.
Waiouru-Papakura, screw it, I went SH1, before branching off after Tirau to Matamata, only to be met with the WORST road works of all (this is rather late at night I should add) on SH27 - bloody road cones scattered across the road by trucks and yobs, and more metal 2 foot bloody deep.
Now, the worst part?
I saw a whopping 2 bikes the whole trip.
Mind you, given the state of our touring roads... I'm not bloody surprised...
