'Motorcycle subtypes
The area for the many different types of Motorcycles and riding.'
So why are scooters relegated to "Offtopic"?
Laugh and poke fun all you like, but I am seriously requesting the Scooter forum be moved to Motorcycle subtypes. Even minibikes and pocketbikes are in this area.

We are 2 wheeled engine run bikes... a motorbike, so put us in a category that mean we are regarded as such please. :bash:
I have only just changed to scooter's after bigger bikes all my life and am 6 foot 8 (well you cant see me so I could be) so watch out, cos I might lift my bike up onto you, and ride off bruising you quite badly (wheels are too small to ride up onto you). :scooter:
Please amend this terrible situation before we protest and ride in the cycle lanes filling them up.

Jess has highlighted a very real bit of typical scooter snobbery by those who think we are a waste of space (just overstating for effect here)... soooo pls go and lend your support to our scooter section being moved into "Motorcycle Subtypes" from where we are in "off topic". How very dare they leave us out in the cold, pledge your support by adding your comments to her post in "Site stuff" called "Request to move Scooters to Motorcycle Subtypes".

Well if Kiwibiker was, for instance, a BMW forum, I wouldn't expect to have a scooter forum in it. But it's Kiwibiker, and the Motorcycle Subtypes group states that it includes different types of motorbikes. Scooters are generally seen as a subgroup under the wider heading of motorcycles.

Hey there, I am sorry you are feeling left out. I agree you guys need a valid place on kiwibiker. My advice is to PM any of the Orange Mods. By Orange I mean their names are in Orange on the forum. Have you asked the question of the powers that be? Really, ask and see what happens. I am not going to hit anyone for six, but if you think there should be a seperate sub forum for scooters (and I dont personally see why not) then ask for one to be created. I dont ride a scooter, but dont see why you should not have a place in here.

Hi
Am just wondering if there is any reason that might stop Scooter's from being moved to "Motorcycle Subtypes". We are a type of Motorcycle, along with Pocket bikes, dirtbikes and roadbikes, so can we please be moved.
All the teasing comments about having small wheels, really does hurt, and being moved to fit in with others may mean a whole new lease of life. I know my old NZeta is more valuable than... well a GN250 for example, and even that gets called a real motorbike somehow.
Thanks for considering this for us.

Ya know, some days it doesn't bother me, but after 12 years, hearing the same old cliches trotted at any opportunity is just tiresome.
Kiwibiker gives me access to a very large community of motorcyclists - even our biggest scooter forum has only a hundred members - we are a minority. We face the same kind of hazards as anyone else on powered two wheelers. I value the KB forum, and just wanted to correct an oversight in the placement of the scooter forum. It has been there a long time and no one has ever asked for it to be moved. So it was just meant to be a straightforward request.

Well, in my not so humble opinion (because I know almost everything), there are scroters and other scroters. If scroters are the same as motorbikes, why is it that you have so many scroterists (especially those on 50s) who treat them like glorified bicycles?
Pocketbikes? Pfffttt!! They're not motorcycles, they're toys. Pocketbike posts should be in the jokes forum.
I wouldn't mind a scroter, just for piss-taking purposes, of course. Perhaps to ride on days when I feel like cross-dressing, or wearing a Halloweenie costume.

Scooter riders are usually old women with slippers and floppy, spaniel ear tits; most male scooter riders consume Viagra like smarties in the erroneous belief that on day they will attain an erection a cat couldn't scratch and go on to slay bitches like normal GSXR riders. Often scooter riders display both spaniel ear tits and floppy cocks, their sex 'undetermined'..........Freaks, the lot of 'em!

If you are so big that you have a six pack back and rode a scooter, poor thing would end up squashed up your arse.... (you could call it a vibrator). Go the 50 and cheap reg, insurance and dangerless speeds, esp up hill.
GSXR stands for Goat Sex X Rated anyway, and must be hard to catch a goat if you so chubby :chase:
Dont take any notice of the nasty fat man Dangermice.

Listen up scooter scrote. The SixPackBack moniker was a result of my well formed back muscles formed I might add from fucken an endless supply of eager wenches. The gixer made 'em wide and wet, just as a scooter would leave their pussies drier than Arizona.
.......And WTF a scooter going up hill??...is that like a contradiction in terms or what!

I think we are secretly loved, after all, I see a scooter smilie :scooter:, but no gxsr one. Ha!
Well I gotta say that I like scooters (yeah I know get me a handbag) but the greatest motorcycling nation on earth (Italy) seems to take to em in droves. Not to mention that you have to have balls the size of churchbells to ride one in Rome. I did it, I braved the traffic of Rome on a Piaggio and it was MAD!
