Nah, just one of the few things I do know! I was tempted to come up with some name that was Korean for 'fit my head good'.....

Do HJC wearers have Hugh Jarses? Can't say I've ever noticed

FFM was started in Waihi by Fred Ferrentino hence FFM stands for Fred Ferrentino Manufacturing. Was later sold to the Motor Imports/Forbes and Davies co-op.

Sorry, been offline, but Anthrax has supplied the correct answer with additional detail:

Gold star for you :sunny: :)

(I believe all FFM helmets are now made offshore too (Korea?) as there is no tariff on imported helmets now - the only reason this existed was to provide some protection for our remaining local manufacturer at the time FFM)

They're good helmets for sure...as long as you have a 'Shoei' head. Unfortunately...I have an 'Arai' head...and that's expensive.

I'd suggest you don't buy one then! I'd wear Shoei if I could...but only as they're cheaper than Arai and I think as good...but if they don't fit...not much good to ya. Arai it is (and always has been) for me then. I've had some pretty big fucking biffs wearing Arai's...and apart from the obvious...come through unscathed. You can never spend too much on head protection.

I tell all of my customers that...spend as much as you're comfortable spending on ya skid lid...you'll never regret it.

Wellington Motorcycles for the last 17 years...before that...Phil Beaumont and Brisbane Yamaha in Brisbane funnily enough...before that Bike Clinic and Boyle Kawasaki all here in Welly. A true bike shop slut over the last 23 years.

And I've got the latest Arai MX lid...it's fucking fantastic to wear.

Well you should've said gidday Pete...give me a shit hot KB price on the cunting thing. It's a fucking great example eh! I'm no Honda fan in all honesty...but they (alongside RC30's and RS 250's) give me a wee chubby.

I'm gonna go for a wee 'test ride' on that tomorrow.
