We have a ride coming up this Sunday for our customers and would like to extend the invitation to all Kiwi Bikers.
On our rides we do our best to cater for all levels of rider, we use a very formal corner marking system that allows everyone to travel at their own pace.
Details are on our web site but the ride leaves 352 St Asaph Street on Sunday 8th November at 10:15am sharp and we are heading to North Canterbury via the twistiest possible route.
If you think you may be able to make it, please familiarise yourself with the corner marking "rules" at: www.emoto.co.nz/ride.htm
Thanks,
Peter
PS: If you haven't yet seen or heard a Aprilia RSV4 (and you probably haven't - they last about 30 seconds in the showroom) then no promises, but we are hoping to see one or more of our RSV4 customers there on the day.

lol, that emoto.co.nz link took me to a page that in Firefox shows with the main text as white on a white background.
I could see a few headings in black and thought it was a bit odd so dragged the cursor over the page and the rest of the text became visable when higlighted as selected.
Might be a good idea to fix that sometime.
I like the idea of the corner man system but have seen a lot of resistance to that kind of organisation on KB rides.
Good luck with it all, I'm sure those who appreciate it will have a good time.
I might have gone along but running out of time to do the Southern Excapade so going away for this weekend.

Had the same problem, but to get around it
Right click and Open it in IE and it works fine.
Sounds like a good ride...just might have to go on this one!!

Thanks for the feedback, seems like the "auto colour" option in Frontpage does it's best to only work with IE! Now fixed.

If you think you may be able to make it, please familiarise yourself with the corner marking "rules" ya know what, i was keen but after reading all that bull I dont think I will, christ what ever happened to "common sence" I would never leave a stranded bike and if I wanted to pass the leading bike I would, safest thing to do is my own pace, why are we not alowd to think for our selves these days, gezz its such a PC world aint it?
I might meet up but take my own route there that way I wont bust any rules, after all we are all inderviual riders.

......seen a lot of resistance to that kind of organisation on KB rides......About now I'm tempted to quote D's post and say see what I mean, wouldn't be surprised if more tune in soon.
Web page is indeed working better now.

See what I mean.
Ohh hey look you know as well as I do its not a easy task organising a ride, there are those that do need guide lines, and with out the basics riders and organisers can get in the shit... so what if some one turns the wrong way thay wont fall of the end of the world, if the brain is inguaged then they should be able to figger out they ballsed up, turn around and re join.
ps: you editor you ;)

Christ! That kind of riding is gonna cause more grief than it's worth.
What happens when the markers (fast riders) then get stuck at the back and spend the whole time pissing slower bikers off overtaking to get back to their comfortable pace.
Good in theory but sorry I'm with you Dangerous :)

I'm sure the system would be fine for a boy scout outing, but as it's actually intended for adults it's way over the top.
Thanks for the invite, but no thanks, I'd probably upset you by not following your rules. Enjoy your ride.

Some of you miss the point.
This is a group ride and not a race to the pub (or what ever).
To show how fast you can ride.
People you come on these types rides WANT to ride together.
A bit like Wednesday night rides.
And see how popular they are.
A lot of large Clubs use similar system's on their rides.
Because they have to, not because they want to.
To keep control.
A lot of dirt bike clubs use this system in the bush.
So they do not need, Search and Rescue to find lost riders.
And they run out of gas trying to find them.
This is not a ride for you guys and gal's will enjoy.
Others will.
Buy the way it may not be for me either.
And I have a RAT ride to lead that day.

yip yip understand were ya come from, but why not simply say 'This is a group ride and not a race to the pub'
this isnt a dirt bike ride, but similer situations could prevale... ya cant help someone from having a acco with such rules and in fact they can cause an acco, similer to yours on the ambo fund raiser ride to cust.
BUT HEY, Im not dissing Emoto... I do deal with them, and have a non officiailly sponcered race bike in there colours.
I just like to use my own brain and common sence and wish it was not being breed out of the human.

I went on the ride today - great route, and the corner-marking system mostly worked OK - though there was one snafu.
It did allow a mix of riders - some cruising, some moving pretty quickly, to ride together.
The route was complicated, with several interesting bits of back-road strung together to maximise corners and minimise boring bits.
Thanks very much eMoto - I'll be a starter for another ride.

Good to hear that there was a good turn out for the ride.
We did our own wee ride and ended up going around the short block.
That it Arthurs Pas to Jackson across to Reefton and then home via Lewis.
Great weather for a ride any where.
Will try to make the next one.
