Would a Suzuki SMX 50cc 2 stroke have a flasher unit for the indicators? I can't find it with seat, tank, side covers etc. off...

yes. they don't expect you to repeatedly turn it off & on.

It will be a small black box with ~ 2 wires going into it. I'd guess with an L shaped plug as it will likely be an RG50 part.

Flashers will not work well if battery flat or if some clown has put bulbs bigger than std in them. They will use low wattage bulbs so that is likely.

Welcome to the circus.

No battery, indicators seem to flash on alternately, ie front then rear so one or other is on all the time....the problem was a blown instrument panel bulb, but I still couldn't see a flasher unit! :crybaby:

Did you say no battery as in none fitted, then you need to replace the one that isnt there, definitley is a flasher relay there, Will try to find a pic off the net and post. Also sounds like dodgy wiring if indicators are flashing asynchroniously!!

I'd be intrigued to see where a battery would go. This is a kickstart only 50 cc 2 stroke with only 2400 km...if you have seen one of these rare beasties before and have a photo of the battery I'd be most impressed! :)
