Someone who used to be on KB did the same thing, but didn't do quite such a good job on so many fingers...

I have to admit to previously putting the GB on its center stand and putting it into gear so I could oil the chain with a spray can. But I have learned not to put my fingers anywhere near that sort of thing after a bad experience with a wringer on an old style washing machine when I was a kid.

I did it heaps with my bikes on paddock stands... except I put the can of lube near the chain (with the long nozzle) and not my fingers.
Its normally when they try to put the rag there that it all turns to custard :shit:

I would not touch my chain with a 10 foot pole while the engine is running...

well OBVIOUSLY :oi-grr: What do you think the thread is about?
What you do is have the straw on the can close-ish to the chain, but not touching either
Some people.... and then they still protest against touching the chain :Pokey:

I agree, not a very good lube, and the splinters may damage the O-rings
