He's had some crap luck there. Seen him race a good few times at the TT. Seems to be a really popular and unassuming bloke.

At sixteen seconds he goes past the school I used to teach at there. We'd sometimes sit overlooking the road (during practice week). Hard to teach with bikes going past the windows at over 100mph. Race week was a week off. Fan-bloody-tastic.
