I woke up at 3.30am sat morn,,,
destination, Taupo..
i arranged to meet the new owner at taupo so on the road we go...
was a great clear starry, moon lit night...
i had plenty of time, so rushing was not on the cards.
headed off for viniger hill, as i like the twisty bit in there...
sadly i didnt see the mountain from the look out..
wondered up to waiouru, stopped at the tanks.. starting to get foggy by now..
headded in to the desert road...all was good nice and sunny...
and i could see a wall of cloud in front of me.......
Hmmmm is that rain or not...i not got my wettys on board....
so thought fuk im going to get wet..on we go..
it turned to pea soup, could see about 50meters in front....was a little worried i might get smack up the arse.... so keeped a steady pace close to the left white line....
was very fine misty rain, and had to keep wiping the visor...
so we keeped on pushing through the soup...
poped out at turangi , to sun shine...meet a couple road bike riders, going south..... mate whats the road like,,,,,Ummmmm SHIT....but have fun...
so i arrived at taupo, approx 7.30am, was a good ride over all, a bit of skill training,,,and road awareness was needed,,,
so a stoped at the coffie cart by the lake for a cupa and a friendy chat with the lady...
meet Ian the new owner,,, very nice chap.
handed over suzi.....
thats the end of the legend...
Suzi the safari slut....

I expect your memories of Suzi will quickly fade when your new european love has moved into your garage.
Your last roadtrip looks like a tagorama, where is the McDonalds aeroplane?

a mate of mine brought a old holden up in taupo to restore, so i arranged to come home with him..

Hello..
yes, i like to get the most out of every ride...and the desert road was a little different,,,to say the least...i was most worried about a car hitting me from behind..as was difficult to see.....and speed was not on the cards...
so when we going for a ride...must be your turn to organize a ride in your aera..
how about a gental annie loop ride...you be up for that..:scooter:

And one journey ends and another begins. She just loved humming up through Hwy27 passing all vehicles she saw. Anything over 120kph and she shook her head somewhat but am sure we can soon give her a bit more speed before the wobbles. She just loves the warm climate of the North and looks forward to the likes of top of the Coro, back roads out raglan way and quite possibly a few trips to distant shores. May even be seen in the deepest south on such events as the dusty butt, Not this year however.
