You have excellent, and confident bike handling skills, I have no doubt you are skilled in that respect. You would do well on a race track no doubt.

I say this because I want you to consider one aspect of your riding. Please understand that I'm only trying to help.

Car drivers have a bad habit of opening their doors without looking. Most drivers are thinking about something like their cat, or work once they turn the key off. They treat their car door like a house door, not a traffic hazard.

When you use the left hand lane to overtake, and there are parked cars in it, you are expecting a very wide range of people to be looking before they open their door.

Keep enough space between you and parked cars to avoid their doors. And overtake on the right, if possible.

Cheers,

Chris.

Almost shat my pants there, but NO it wasn't me

He was probably riding back to the delivery office and felt the need to let off some steam (as we do).

Overtaking on the inside is naughty, but nice.

Doing it too close to parked cars is farkin stuuuupid.

It's one of the DON'Ts and if he comes off he may end up in the brown stuff; in more ways than one.

The bicycle postie we've currently got would be faster than anyone on a CT110, espeically up the (steep) driveway across the road. Man, he pumps those pedals!

Thats because you have not done the HRC footpeg angle modification.
Put the bike on a set of axle stands resting on the end of the pegs, get a really fat person (some member of parliment will do ) and get them to leapfrog onto the seat and depress the pegs to at least 30 degrees angle.
This mod was sanctioned in CT110 racing circles in the 1930's so rest assured its legal.
