Moving to a full licence
Riders under 25 years of age
You must hold your restricted licence for a minimum period of 18 months before you can move to a full licence. This can be reduced to 12 months if you successfully complete an approved course teaching advanced riding skills (provided you do the course after you have held your restricted licence for at least six months).
•Driver licensing courses - Factsheet telling you which courses are approved and how to find course providers.
Riders aged 25 or over
You must hold your restricted licence for a minimum of six months before you can move to a full licence. This can be reduced to three months if you successfully complete an approved course teaching advanced riding skills.

Your only mistake was buying the Hyobag over the awesome CBR250rr, ZXR250, RGV250, NSR250, Aprilia RS250 (or125). These bikes are as good as it gets for road riding. My old mc22 is still my favourite bike to date.

By this and just road ride the bitch. Within 1 week your riding will be like super bad awesome.
Not really. don't do that. But do consider upgrading to something more 'fun' such as a CBR250rr or ZXR250c or even a 2 stroker if your experienced enough.
Also realise, riding a 250cc bike is some of the most fun you will have in your motorcycle riding adventures. I often miss my trusty old ZXR250c.

id say all those bikes are to small for me im 6'3 and 110kg, how hard is it to maintain a 2 smoker?

Not hard depending on your mechanical skills, the main factor to consider is what type of riding you do. 2 strokes are great but have their place and for me thats a track.
Age and condition of bike also major concerns aswell
Someone your size may not like 'out of powerband' torque, I'm 70kg and it frustrates me at times if I'm too high in the gears.
hyosung only has 5 gears from memory, around 30hp or less and weighs a bit.
FZR,ZXR,CBR & GSXR (earlier models) are 45hp, 2 smokers usually 50-70hp but cost more to buy and require more servicing gas and oil.
My 88 FZR250 is almost up to 7,000kms and rides like a new bike, except of course a new 250 is restricted in power :) - also depreciation is minimal

exactly, time flew so much for me it took over 2 years before i felt ready for an upgrade. The bike should match your riding skills, newbie = slow bike :scooter: = less crashes (in theory )

Man....im glad I sat mine 25 years ago
Then it was
Provisional - no minimum period, use to learn to ride, no compulsory course required
Restricted - 6 months waiting OR do advanced course with MOT (only MOT provided it at that time - I did it too)
IF course completed at MOT training school, pass directly to Full
I had my FULL license at 15 years, 3 weeks and 2 days old, and yes I did have to do all 3
P/R/F
(No test to go full, just present certificate from MOT at local MOT office)
Those were thae days when motorcyclists were dying like flies though so new system showin in the stats as our crashes are lessening

I am similar, 6.' and 98kgs and the ZXR was perfect for me. CBR was a bit small though, that is why I went with the ZXR in the end, and I was glad I did. However if I was smaller, a CBR250rr would have been the pick.

I'm pretty sure that we gotta do the standard DD course that they do for car drivers - I don't think an advanced motorcyle riding course takes time off getting your full.
