Their message is currently only about the referendum on the anti-smacking bill.

I'm not suggesting that we should hi-jack their event, but perhaps someone leading the fight against ACC (Ixion or otherwise) could liaise with them and see if they are happy to allow us to carry our message against the changes to ACC. And I'm not talking about the 'we don't want to pay higher ACC levies', I'm talking about the fact that ACC should stay stuck to it's roots of no-fault accident compensation - not insurance.

I think it would be better that the contact with them comes from 'the top' of our cause, rather than just random emails.

I'd be keen to go along and do the walk in my bike gear - full leathers, boots, gloves and helmet. All worn, not carried.

Exactly. The "March for Democracy" has little to do with democracy or the alleged denial of such.

The biker ACC cause is a just and legitimate one. People should resist the temptation to align with other protests that have an ambiguous agenda.

Nah, it's more like a standard 30 second TVC - all those idiots going "half a million more people voted in the referendum than voted John Key into power" et al.

A democracy is majority rule and is destructive of liberty because there is no law to prevent the majority from trampling on individual rights. Whatever the majority says goes!



A lynch mob is an example of pure democracy in action. There is only one dissenting vote, and that is cast by the person at the end of the rope.

Once you alighn yourself with another cause you are seen by the opponents of said cause as being part of it. Don't go there or you will open up another avenue of opposition that is not there at the moment.

We are bigger enough to stand on our own 'two wheels' We don't need a 'side stand' to help prop us up.
