Their message is currently only about the referendum on the anti-smacking bill.

I'm not suggesting that we should hi-jack their event, but perhaps someone leading the fight against ACC (Ixion or otherwise) could liaise with them and see if they are happy to allow us to carry our message against the changes to ACC. And I'm not talking about the 'we don't want to pay higher ACC levies', I'm talking about the fact that ACC should stay stuck to it's roots of no-fault accident compensation - not insurance.

I think it would be better that the contact with them comes from 'the top' of our cause, rather than just random emails.

I'd be keen to go along and do the walk in my bike gear - full leathers, boots, gloves and helmet. All worn, not carried.

If you're going to walk in their parade, it would be rude to walk for a cause other than theirs.

Its a walk for democracy, right
the democratic right to be heard?
The right for all to be treated as equals?
The right for all to be treated fairly under a justice system that is not predudital
Hello!!!
Have ACC listend to us or talked to us about their changes?
are we being treated the same as all others?
Is their any predudice against us fromthe ACC?
We live in a democratic country?
I think the March For Democracy is very much the same cause as ours
Just from a different angle

The government we voted in as our representitive , does not listen to anyone at all. Even their own advisors

Since when does fighting for the right to hit your children have anything to do with motorcycle owners being ripped off by ACC?

Who's paying for their TV ads??

And can we get them to buy some for us?

Saw the add and thought the same.
What was it 5 seconds?
Message came across loud and clear though!

Exactly. The "March for Democracy" has little to do with democracy or the alleged denial of such.

The biker ACC cause is a just and legitimate one. People should resist the temptation to align with other protests that have an ambiguous agenda.

Nah, it's more like a standard 30 second TVC - all those idiots going "half a million more people voted in the referendum than voted John Key into power" et al.

Seems to be pretty regularly prime time too - not cheap

A democracy is majority rule and is destructive of liberty because there is no law to prevent the majority from trampling on individual rights. Whatever the majority says goes!

A lynch mob is an example of pure democracy in action. There is only one dissenting vote, and that is cast by the person at the end of the rope.

March for what???
Ha!
The so called democratic process has happened mate. In case you missed it, it's called an election.
Maybe you and your lynch mob mates could start another referendum..
"Should the government, as part of a good overall roading and health strategy, have the right to smack bikers?'
Nuff said....:bash:

Once you alighn yourself with another cause you are seen by the opponents of said cause as being part of it. Don't go there or you will open up another avenue of opposition that is not there at the moment.

We are bigger enough to stand on our own 'two wheels' We don't need a 'side stand' to help prop us up.
