Obviously (hopefully) I don't mean junk food.

Just wondering what peoples favourite rides are, Not epics just a day trip so I can go home, relax, and drink beer afterwards.
I've seen the ravings about the 22, but whats north of the harbour bridge thats not too far away.
Im sure there have been many, many, many threads on this before, but I'm on dial up and get pissed off searching, after looking at a semi blank screen before too long.

Out thru Riverhead forest on the old north road, up H16, across West Coast Road to warkworth up to Welsford , then to Maungawha (sp?) back to welsford then back down H16. Saves the crap ride out to H22. :ride:

...whats north of the harbour bridge thats not too far away. One of my regular routes nowadays after work:

Turn left off the Northern motorway at Greville Rd and head left up the Albany Expressway through the old Albany township and all the way up the hill (SH17) till you come to the Coatsville/Riverhead left turnoff on to SH28 - this is a nice road that gets you all the way through to SH16 and on to Kumeu/Helensville/Kaukapakapa/Wellsford areas. Just past Kumeu you can turn left and on to Murawai Beach which is a nice road too! :ride:

I was planning on going for a ride today, but had too much stuff to do.
Hopefully the weather holds out, so I try out one of the above suggestions tomorrow. (Not a big fan of riding in crap weather - not hardcore enough).

From Invercargill you've got the new Catlins route.
Or how about Lorneville to Hedgehope, turn right towards Gore, turn off again around Charlton (I can't remember exactly where) to Mataura, over the Mataura bridge, through Mataura Island, round to Wyndham and back home through Edendale.
Might be a bit far on the 150 though, there's not many corners near Vegas.
Up here though you could have a blast on that thing.
