Usual drill...Takas to Martinborough for coffee and eats.
Meet at the bottom of the Haywards hill in the carpark at 12:30. Head count at the summit and in Featherston.
Weather forecast looks a bit dodgy at the moment so we may play it by ear closer to the time.
All welcome, see you then!
edit: just got reminded that Toast Martinborough is on so may be a bit busy! I will still head over...I have it from a good source that Hooters is open until 2pm.

I reckon we leave at 11 (so Missus StoneY can come) and go out to Carterton and take Gladstone Twisties in to avoid Cage Brigade
just a thought.
Be great to forget the BIKEOI for a few hours..........

For what it's worth:
Featherston - Lake Wairarapa Loop - Featherston, you avoid all inbound Martinborough traffic, and it gets quite crazy up SH2 and middle road Ponatahi Rd and Gladstone. I have avoided it whenever Martinborough Festival is on and enjoy the Lake Wairarapa loop ride where it is quiet.
Bikeoi - Duckpond
I will be with with Ulysses helping there on Tuesday.

The roads are crazy in and and around Featherstone Martinbrough till after 12noon. There are buses between these places as there are four trains from Wellington to clear. No traffic allowed in the square. Heavy traffic on the hill starting around 6pm. I have pm'ed Stoney about this.

SEVERE NORTHWEST GALES FOR WELLINGTON, WAIRARAPA, CENTRAL AND
SOUTHERN HAWKES BAY.
A cold front lying over Canterbury at 8am this morning is expected to move
northwards over the lower North Island late this afternoon and evening.
Ahead of the front, northwesterly winds are expected to reach severe gale about
higher parts of Wellington and Wairarapa through to this evening, and exposed
parts of central and southern Hawkes Bay and the Tararua District through to
early Monday morning. Wind gusts of 120 km/hr are likely in these areas, which
has the potential to damage trees, powerlines and insecure roofs, and make
driving conditions hazardous especially for motorcyclists and high sided
vehicles such as trucks and campervans.
I'm gonna stay home this time...might spend the day tagging!

I went for a blast over the hill late yesterday afternoon. Blowing like buggery. Wasn't one of the most pleasurable experiences.
Got too much to do around the house and the weather isn't good enough for me to play hookie.
Add to that the fact the hill will be crawling with cagers for the Toast and we can't get to hooters very easily.
So - Is any one going?
