Anyone travelled sh35 around the east cape the last few weeks.

Interested in road condition and roadworks and/or diversions.

I'm aware of the gas station issue.

Thanks in advance.

If you want to go, just go. The road will be fine. There will be a few bits being tidied here and there, but there always is.

It's an epic trip. Don't think about it, just go.

What's the gas station issue? Did a thread search and couldn't find anything in particular. Going to be around that way in a couple of weeks.

Gas isnt that much of a issue.it is pretty remote in places is all :) I get about 230-250 ks a tank befor reserve and never had to flick it over. The Ruatoria gas station wasn't the freindliest place i have ever stopped tho :P

This site is kinda useful:

Sh 35 Ruatoria - Tikitiki - The Goldsmiths Realignment 6km North Of Ruatoria Is Now Open With A Temporary Speed Restriction Of 70km/hr In Place.

Drop Out: Sh35 Is Now Open To All Traffic Excluding Overweight/overdimension Loads. A One Lane System Operates With Normal Road Rules Applying.
