Have you decided what you will take on the Ride????
We have drawn up this list of items for your consideration.
The items in BOLD type are IMO essential... more so for the riders that will be covering long distances to attend with many doing the return on the same day.

FUEL- Make sure you have enough fuel in your tank to comfortably get into Wellington and back out to a refueling station outside of Wellington City preferably with enough fuel to do a further 60 -80 kms minimum.

MONEY- CARRY CASH IN PREFERENCE TO CARDS. Busy Servos usually set up Express lines to a dedicated Till to cater for Cash carrying customers in very busy times.
Imagine the chaos should the EFTPOS system crash on Tuesday morning!

WATER- IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT ALL RIDERS/PILLIONS REGULARLY REHYDRATE (Drink Water) THROUGHOUT THE DAY. A minimum amount each Rider/Pillion should have on their person would be 1/2 litre (500ml) bottle which will need replenishing at least once.

FOOD-Relying on Service Station to cater for this massive influx of riders on the day will I've no doubt see many go hungry This also will apply to Water bottles. We recommend you pack a light lunch for nourishment.
And how will I carry this and the Water Bottle I hear you ask?
You could either Beg, Borrow or Buy quite cheaply a small School Bag Back Pack you see lots of students with these days. With the straps extended enough to allow the pack to touch the pillion seat is an easy option.

PRE RIDE CHECKS ON YOUR BIKE-
Servicing up to date?

Tyres- Highly recommended that both tyres be elevated and spun and thoroughly inspected for both wear and foreign objects which could become dislodged and cause a flattie.

Chain/Belts- Ideal opportunity to check these and lube if necessary during the above tyre checking operation... if you cant see yourself doing this, delegate to someone capable...

Note- Every Rider whether in a large group or traveling as a single is participating as an individual and as such is solely responsible for his or her welfare while riding.

Do NOT expect other Riders to stop and help fix problems with your machine because you have been remiss in your responsibilities.

It is NOT reasonable to expect others to miss this event because of your actions.

Many groups traveling long distances will have to stick to fairly tight schedules to attend and return home.
Sorry if this appears to be a reality check to some.... but thats the way it has to be.

Any Rider/s offering to guide others to this event do so excepting absolutely no liability for any individual Riders actions.

All Riders do this ride knowing that they themselves are responsible and accountable for their actions and behaviour and as such expect NO RECOURSE from the organisers or any individual associated with this event.

RIDE SAFE.

Thank you for reading- Wasp27 & Gixxer4ever

Well said Wasp,
Once you all get to the Stadium on tuesday the 17th, Please secure or take with you all valubles, ie wallets, cameras, and helmets that cant be secured to your bike, We have our own Scum Bags in Wellington, I doubt any will try to steel a bike, but there are those who are opertunistic enough to pinch what they can carry away.
Stadium Marshals, are not responsible for your belongings.
