Who does the best deal on a visor for an Arai Chaser helmet? Can be local or o'seas I don't care...

I'd like a second, tinted visor to go with the clear one I already have....

Motorad (Wellington) stocks them (tinted visors) as I saw them there yesterday but they are $150. Definitely have the Viper GT ones - I think that the GT and the chaser use the same visor.

Shit that's jumped in price then:sweatdrop. Last one I checked out was $116 and a guy on Trademe was doing non-pinlock visors for $99.

Yeah my last visor for the Chaser was $115 (pinlock) for the RX7 GP it's a different story though... :gob:

They HAVE increased in price - from just over the $100 to $160 something...

I saw a UK website selling them for equivalent $NZ101...BUT they wanted 30 POUNDS to ship it...which comes up to about the same price as local...so I left that one alone...

Must be somewhere in the world doing them at a decent price...

Thanks for that WW.....the Chaser and the Viper do use the same visor - "L type" I think it is....same helmet too I think? Maybe?

Correct and also covers the RX-7, though not the new GP.

I'll just repair mine when it becomes shitty! I have a cunning plan:D

So who has used a tinted visor? Did you choose light or dark tint?

Guess I should go look at 'em huh...

THIS (http://www.racevisors.co.uk/categories.php?c=79&p=171#ptop) site has a reasonable price on 'em and not too expensive to ship...

I don't like tinted visors and wear sunnies while riding. Sure the odd secondhand one will pop up on Trademe from time to time, but that won't help you now.

I have prescription sunnies but they are polaroid and through a visor, they are not that good to see through - which is why I want to try a tinted visor.

My regular specs are photochromic and helps quite a lot but with a low sun in the mornings (which is when I do most of my riding) they are just not quite good enough...
