Hey there, I am looking to find my dealer and see what i have in terms of warranty etc, I have an 07 Hyo GT250R and am in auckland. My bike has a 'JFK Motorcycles' sticker on it. The previous owner has moved cities and i'd like to know how to track down my dealership?

They haven't responded to a rather polite e-mail from me and i was thinking they probably just dont want the extra work?

Go back to the dealership you bought the bike from.

Go back to the dealership you bought the bike from.

I would suspect he has bought the motorcycle from a private indicidual and wants to invoke the warranty given to the private individual by the bike shop.

Some dealers will honour the warranty despite transfer of ownership however it is probable that there will be some small print absolving the dealership of warranty responsibilities.

Well done on spelling warranty correctly - most people can't even do that these days.
(edit) it's a 2007....this is 2009....warranty myust be over already - after all it is a Hyosung we are talking about isn't it. Not a good rep for following up on manufacturing defects.

Absolute bullshit, you Scottish git!
The owner should contact his closest Hyosung dealer, and see what can be sorted out concerning any possible issues he has.
Ken and Scotty from Hyo NZ are the most approachable bike importers I know.
They go far further in assisting dealers and Hyosung riders than any other importers I have dealt with.
Often, if the bike is way out of warranty, they will still supply parts at 50% off retail (if it is a part that has a histric weakness, with the new modifyed part, AND they also pick up some of the labour content via a sudo warranty claim)

Go wash ya kilt. There's dribble all over it.

I'm feeling the KB love. :woohoo:

What's the warranty period on a Ho? I thought it was 12 months only.

If two years like most others, check the book as it may be transferable, I know Honda's and Suzuki's are to the next owner(s) during the 24 months from the original purchase.

Your local Ho dealer will be able to assist you, it does not need to go back to the original Ho dealer.

Heard a few stories about parts failing outside warranty period and being honoured by the importers, bloody good PR from them.I have a mate with both an SS & SV6crewcab Holdens, the crewcab was bought new,he has had to rebuild the diff on crewcab(05/06 model) and 120000km,the dealer he bought off can't(won't)offer help, and Holden won't come to party,so he forked out $2500 for repairs. And as he is a single customer with little clout he was/is rightly pissed off,and considering the manufacturers realise a problem exists with the model both here and Aussie, also annoyed him.

O/Y, but I do seem to remember there was a bit of an issue with the drive trains on those due to the fact they are so long!
Guess the Diff doesn't exactly get an easy time of it either.....

Burn Holden while we are burning things!

Yeah. I put a crack in the inlet manifold after 12 months and 10 days of ownership, and was told that since it was outside of 12 months, too bad.

I really should stop doing things like that on purpose.
