Maybe I should rephrase 'Possible sponsors..'?
If Jim goes, so too will P.S., so too will Castrol......
What of the Nationals then?

Someone needs to email Eric a better picture of what is going on. What's the employment thing with Paul Pav? With 90% of votes for Jim it seems pretty open and shut.
I don't really know much about what's going on except for comments I hear and postings here around election time.
As someone standing on the sidelines it's clear that someone new needed to step in because we just needed new thinking and to try something new.

Bugger it I emailed Eric T. Hopefully someone who knows more can send in a balanced view.
I like the inference that Jim got in because of apathy.
It seems to me each person would have done their lobbying. I take the view rightly or wrongly that this media release has been instigated by those going. And they're not going quietly. If Paul Pav is on the chopping block does this also mean that not only will he not go quietly but he'll do everything he can to bring the sport into disrepute? This could get ugly. people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones but it looks like they're throwing everything they can find.
Come on someone who knows the gos... spill. I'd love to know more. It could be like following a soap except with motorcycling as the theme.
Oh and if this is the early part of the battle then you can expect this to get ugly. How much damage can be done?

Thanks for the PM's. It would have been better to see it all posted on KB somewhere.
Anyway's there is chat here which will give you more of the story.

Scroll down page 4 for the letter from Kevin McCleary Patron of MNZ and Life member who called for a Special General Meeting. He seems to have pushed for this stating support for his views and stating that they are the views of the majority of life members. Following this is the response from JimTuckerman who the Patron seems to have a real problem with.

As you read through the 12 pages you get the clear impression of what is going on. Then to nail it all off Mr McCleary didn't get the support for his views it appears. So the 30th October deadline for support came and went.
Following this failure to succeed in getting support for his views someone has then gone to the media with the same complaints he had. It seems his complaints are largely misguided or driven by parties who are opposed to the change the membership voted for.
Here's an industry view of the current elected board.

Overall there seems to be satisfaction with the new guys from all round except the old guard, the guy that runs DRD and who owns the "other" production company that missed out on getting some work and the incumbent CEO who from a strong chorus of comments seems to be disliked for his performance in the job.
I wonder if all have a love for the sport and it's just miscommunication? But it seems someone needs to get some people together and try and get some sensible dialogue going.
Well, I'm looking forward to the change over completing and the boys in the job now being given a fair go. The last lot had more than a fair go it seems from postings of those who know more about this.
Me, I know nothing, I just think it was dissappointing to see the NZ Herald article when it appears it was raising a done and dusted issue by parties that aren't happy that not enough people love them anymore.
Thanks again for the PM's. I hope you folks don't mind it in the public domain here.
Cheers.

Of the 5398 MNZ members eligible to vote for a new president, only 332 did so. More than 300 voted for Tuckerman.
pretty telling.
