Hey all,
Thought it fun to put up a few photos of the new bike I picked up from Colemans.... a limited edition K9 Busa. Ltd Ed meaning it just has a few extras and bling. More bling on its way too ;)

Fantastic to ride, already did 700 miles in its first week with a trip to catch up with the cruiser group in Taupo. Back in Taupo now and ready to head down to Wellington for the protest ride. es its in miles.... a USA bike with both km and miles on the speedo and the odometer in miles. A challenge to my mental arithmetic at the best of times!

The bike is sublime to ride, very comfortable, ther smoothest bike I have ridden (and there are many I have tried out) and pretty good on distance/fatigue with all my aches and pains to put up with. Only made a couple stop on the way down to answer natures needs and my desire for coffee!

Rode down to Taupo again the other day and managed the 350kms from North Auckland on one tank with 4.4 litres left in reserve and the fuel light came on at Acacia Bay.:gob:

The previous week had pushed it more and did the same trip with 1 and 1/4 tanks, so if you are "cruising" its got pretty dang good fuel economy.

Its a fun bike to ride, plently to play with without losing ones licence and plenty to go for it if you wanna try to meet your maker early. Around the lake was fabulous, the only limitation was rider ability/nerve and not pushing it harder to levels it was obviously well capable of. I think I'll wait for a few trackdays before getting too carried away with the horsepower.:innocent:

Lots of fun!

Safe riding to all.
Cam.:scooter::rockon:

p.s. the last photo is proof that men CAN multitask!! My babies Mitch and Samara. I love you and miss you more than you know! Dadda xxx

Thanks for the photos. Not my cup of tea, but really do like yours. The slight design mods do a lot of the overall appearance.

I got my bike out of LA and have the side refectors like you do.

Many congrats to you.

Just to add, it would have to be one of if not the best looking instrument panels I have ever seen on a bike. Practical and logical layout too. Very happy with it.

The only thing is the high beam blue light is low and off to the right and opposite to the shift light. Having said that, they are both so bright they are hard to miss in one's periferal vision. So in some ways... perfect.

Aah I love them 2008+ Hayabusa's dashboard. They are similar to Porsche's.

So that WAS you I followed on the motorway the other day! Did you notice the Boulevard behind you with the right hand running light out? (I replaced the bulb today).

Nice bike of course, but that is a Cam trademark we've come to expect...

Beautiful kids!

Nice pics Toaster, have to say the instrument panel is one aspect I DON'T like about the Gen 2 Busa. Especially compared to a ZZR14 . I got a Gen 1 Bus but have spent some time on my Buddy's '08 G2 . The speedo error thing still has'nt been solved and , whilst there is finally a gear indicator on the Gen 2 ( Finally )...that's at the expense of the trip computer the Gen 1 had from day one, being 1999. We're now heading into 2010 . ( ? )

2009 Hayabusa , no trip computer ? Looks like you have a great Bike and, I'm still a Busa fan, just wonder who makes the decisions at Corporate level , I'm trying to save money too, have fun and be careful ......:innocent:

Yes well some say the kiddies look like me, but I think they get their gorgeous looks from their mother Diane "Mrs Amazing" Brooks.

Hope to catch up with you both soon. I am currently in Taupo as sick as a dog. Still hoping to make it to Wellington for the protest though. If not, i will see you in Auckland at some stage.

Added a few bits:

Soft gel Hayabusa seat (useful)

GSXR tyre valve caps (not useful, just for looks... very hard looks that is)

Tank cover (noticed the black paint gets scratched almost just by thinking about it!):blank:

Tank graphic pads - to cover the scratches!:msn-wink:

Hope to get some good use out of that softer seat on a ride to Welly soon.

Bling is good, the exhaust looks mean from the back. Well done.

Take you about 3 seconds a side to do the rear wheel. Just put her on a race stand, start her up click 6th gear and hold the polishing rag on the rim edge at 300km/h

Well, of course black is very slimming, that's why I wear it a lot... However I didn't think Busa Pete's white one quite looked like a Beluga whale, I thought it was rather fetching myself...

I loved the M109R I rode in white as well. Having said that, of course, your bike is quite the bizniss and looks great!

Picked up new K9 'Busa on Wednesday , just had a beer with it and checked the mileage at only 69 km's, colour is WHITE .

Look out for me, coming up from the south through Kaikoura , Blenheim and thorough to Nelson on Monday for the ' run it in ' scenario . Bike is standard at present but have some Yoshi's ordered then tidy the tail up , install a Pipercross or similar air filter, have it re-mapped and that's it. The Bike speaks for itself so I don't need to 'Bling' it , it's gonna be a sleeper albeit a white one . I'll send a pic through if anyone's interested , cheers
