Opinions on an 05 KDX200?

test rode one today and interested in peoples thoughts on em

seemed to run out revs reel quick but I'm not to familiar with dirt bikes

what are they worth?

They go much better with the procircuit pipe and muffler. Great bikes and seriously under rated. 4k for a good one with pipe and muffler. Less for an average one.

Nice amount of power for a 60-70kg rider- better with the pipe

Dont buy one if you ride in rutted out tracks- you will find out why when it stops dead and you smear your nuts across the steering head:gob:

Brought my '06 KDX 2 years ago for around $4k. It gets thrashed most weekends and is still worth around $4k. May not be as fast as my riding mates KTM 250's and 300's or handle quite as well but unlike them, mine starts first time and runs all day without missing a beat:2guns:. I reckon the piston has done close to 100 hours and it just starting to lose some of it's zip now.
As Cave Weta said, good power if you weigh around the 70 kg mark. Would love a KX/KDX hybrid!..

Fun bike to learn on. I have an 06. Not had any trouble with it.
Just need to perform typical bike maintenance and it will last well.

Like someone has already said, look out for deep ruts has the forks stick out a bit but i've never had any trouble with that.

Front suspension lets the bike down, but that can be fixed if you want. However, it won't stop you from have fun until you get good enough to need it.
