I was driving in australia last week and I saw this sign on the Thunderbolts Way, about 250km north of sydney...Link (http://www.barringtontowns.com.au/review_detail.asp?class=Local%20Information&subclass=Locations&id=41&calclass=Entertainment)

btw there where heaps of bikes and it is an awesome road. lots of long sweepers, lots of new seal, and it was nice and warm...

I think they've had some crashes on the road.

This is a pistake? or no - looks alot like photoshop.

But in the case that it is real then it should become a landmark ! :D

No, no pistake. I couldn't believe it myself, had to take a photo. it looks like an official sign too. I did make the sign a bit brighter in photoshop but other than that it's all real.

Why do you think it would be a pisstake? I believe there are some real issues out there regarding the use of roads as racetracks. I've been guilty of it myself, so I'm not trying to take the moral high ground here.

I wonder how rider's opinions/behaviour would change if they were having bikes go past their driveway at 200+km/h and occationally taking out their fence..

It won't be a piss take. I can't find it, but I've got a Two Wheels mag that shows a sign put up on a famous Aussie biking road where there have been a large number of crashes and deaths. Forget where it was or what it said (wasn't quite as to the point as this sign), but it was for real.

what part of Thunderbolts way is the sign?

The sign is just at the beginning of the road, about 500m meters past the turn off to Uralla going north, a couple of kms past Barrington.
