What? You expected that kind of knowledge for free?! :gob:

More to the point, what would you expect from a suspension and bike set up seminar and what would you be prepared to pay for that knowledge?

Perhaps you should check this thread out before making assumptions as to it's worth: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=92068

Honestly, if you can't see the value in something like this then it's probably not for you. On the other hand for people in the trade, serious racers or for anyone that wants to understand bike set up better (for road or track) the price is bloody cheap and these seminars are highly recommended. In real terms the cost of a seminar like this would easily pay for itself in savings on tyres alone for a racer in one season. A trades person would probably make the seminar pay for itself in a week.

I doubt that would happen, as every man and his dog would be burning off copies for their mates and all that valuable knowledge would be worth bugger all in no time flat (to the people that have spent much money and many years amassing it)!

This is the brutal reality;

1) The very last time we ran these Peter Goddard seminars we had 3 venues and approximately 30 people at every venue, same price.

2) Peter Goddard is one of the very top WSBK engineers in the world and it COSTS a not insubstanial fee to get him, plus international airfares, internal airfares, accomodation, meals, cost of venues and props. $275 plus gst is SUPER CHEAP for the knowledge that this man imparts.

3) Anyone who thinks its all on the net is deluding himself. There is indeed a lot of Information but most of it is from a lower baseline level. There is solid experience and accumulation of knowledge in a head like Peters that has worked at the very very sharp end. Much of this stuff is not in textbooks or posted on the net, FACT.

4) No DVDs sorry, piracy concerns.

We may struggle to get enough numbers to continue with this, so be it. The reality is yes there is a recession on and money is currently ''tight'' but the bottomline costs still remain the same, if a little higher. Thats a business reality.
