While I will get numbnut answers - please dont dissapoint...............
BUT..................................ROUGHLY...... ...........................
traveling from Lower Hutt via haywards via the hill to Bulls sticking to road speed limits ( give or take a few kms ) what is the consensus on a travel time?
This is going to be a daily commute for a couple of months so am interested in establishing a rough travel time.
8-00am starts.
Riding an Aprillia 1000.

Any help appreciated.....:Police:

A tad under 2 hours. The hill might be a great road, but you will have great trouble at the Paekak end...crossing streams of southbound depending on times.

Hmmmmm thanks - yeah thought allowing 2 hours would be right.
Yeah only problem is that bit at the bottom of the hill - hopefully at 6'ish in the morning might be okay.

I would allow 2 hours, as long as you dont get any hold ups getting out of Wellington.

Ha, Google Maps doesn't have an option "by Aprilia 1000" but by car via Paekak Hill it says "Lower Hutt to Bulls 2hrs 13mins", so everyone saying 2hrs is probably spot on. Its says it is 144km.

I checked the "walking" option and it says "about 1 day 5 hrs" and adds "Use caution – This route may be missing sidewalks or pedestrian paths"
lol.

It doesn't say watch out for 6,000 motorbikes South of Otaki .

I usually do it in around 1hr 45mins in the car leaving Wellington with cruise on 110kmh. Should be a bit quicker on a thou, just watch out for the coppas between Foxton and Shannon.
